Few weeks ago i started creating my own ST build, in the same way as JP kit.
I'm NOT here to flame JP or what so ever but i was really interested in the design of his kit, yet i did not risk buying it from him. So why not try it myself.. for the heck of it. The way i went for this system with the wastegate welded on the turbine housing, is simply because i want to keep it as low profile as possible. (no tubing sticking out in the engine bay or wastegates popping out of the side of the engine) There's not a single 335 in my country (Belgium, EU) who has a single turbo conversion, because of strict visual inspections.

I am NOT a fabricator and i do not sell these so don't kill me for it!!

I'm also not gonna discuss the placement of the wastegate, as it has claimed to been done before with no issues. I can find out myself.
I know it's not the ideal placement according to volumetric efficiency. And of course people don't want to fuck up their turbine housing, but i have no choice + it's replaceable anyway.
I'm also not looking to make record breaking spool or HP claims.
I'm happy if it runs right on pump flash to begin with.

I went with the RB flange, it's a bit thin but i like that it's in one piece.
Everything 304 SS and thick walls on the manifold bends.
The turbo is a Precision 6466 T4 Divided 1.0A/R
Wastegate, Precision 46mm.
Gonna use my JB4 as boost controller with JB4 MAC and a MHD backend flash.

Is the intention for cool factor? Not power.
I'm still new here and pretty young so i have much to learn about the "cool factor".
But you must be the coolest of them all according to your comment rating so i am VERY pleased to meet u!
You really think low profile means cool status? Or must every single turbo kit produce 900WHP?

Example of cool. Passes visual inspection, yet manage to build a diy set up that makes 600+whp all while being stealth and having the only single in town.

Rephrased.Performance or bling? Or best of both worlds.
There will be 0% bling. I just want a whole different animal since i've been driving the hell out of my 335i the last 4 years and am so bored of the twins. I will still make a decent amount of power, but am happy with +-700BHP with leftover for the future.

Ok i see what u mean.
You can call it cool if you look at it that way.
I've seen a few RB and Pure St2 cars, but it just didn't do it for me.
Real fast, but almost same experience as stock twins.
Guess i've been watching too many american single turbo videos on youtube.

Check this one out. Maybe it may help with ideas.im looking to get away from the mmp stage 3 to single. Just seems to be less parts, and bigger market
I've been following that thread aswel, but am not really feeling the dual wastegates on such short exhaust flow so i think one 46mm will do with a divided flange. Also the wastegates and dumptubes would be very visible. This is how i want it to look eventually in the engine bay;
