I couldn't use the rear oil drain on the engine, because the motor mount and wastegate would be in the way.
And when i used a regular single turbo oil drain, it would look like this.. :expressionless:
So i'm very curious on how JP solved this problem.

First i shortened the oil drain fitting, but then waterpump line would get in the way. (Stupid me )
But the flow would be very poor anyway!

Kinda solved this problem, by clocking it in a angle and making my own oil drain fitting..
It kinda looks like shit for now but i can still weld on a 10AN screw head. I was kinda just looking for a practical drain solution.
Even though the drain is not near as practical as a top mount drain.
Luckily an e92 sits on it's nose alot.. Face down ass up, which will increase the oil drain angle.
If this won't cut it, i might end up creating a 3rd oil drain in my oil pan. :unamused:

From now on i'll keep the pictures small.. because it's already making me dizzy.
The blanket still fits on despite the coolant pipe. Tight space near the inlet and waterpump aswel, might have to adjust the coolant pipe in the future to create more room for the future filter location. (Turbo guard for now)

Looks good man. Easy way to save the money on such a simple design. If you’re pretty handy with a bandsaw or grinder and that TIG torch you could probably make a split drain fitting using a stainless drain flange and some 304 tube and making a merge collector. Then drain into the front and rear return ports simultaneously. Just make sure to throw some fire sleeve around those return and feed hoses to protect them from heat. Looking forward to seeing this up and running.

That's not a bad idea. Might be something for the future.
Sleeves are on the way! Gonna have to do some serious heat shielding in the end.

Excellent build man! Excited to see how it turns out, I'll definitely follow this thread.

While we're getting closer and closer, I'm really still shocked no company has already come out with something just as simple as this yet. While personally I'd love a bottom mount that will be capable of 800+whp, I think the first company to make it to market with a similar setup will make serious bank, especially if it's around the same price as upgraded twins. A lot of people don't care about equal length headers and having the biggest compressor wheel in their country, and just want 500-600whp on a DD capable car that doesn't suffer from melting everything in the engine bay and no obnoxious blinged out turbo jumping out when you pop the hood. It's almost a shame you DON'T have a company for that reason lol.

@Panzerfaust there are a few people with this design already. 4N and JP works currently. And Motiv’s is similar too, just not a similar price range.
Yeah, I've been keeping a close eye on all the bottom mount kits so I'm aware of those others but I think 4N is the only one coming close to this level of function-over-form tbh. I'm excited to see what their final setup will look like and how it'll perform (especially since that one guy hit mid 10s on the prototype), but I'm still just surprised it's taken this long without anything even hitting to market yet. AFAIK the JP setup was about as easy to get a hold of as Big Foot, and while Motiv's is a super nice build, I don't think they're even trying to target the same audience that normally wants a bottom mount. But oh well, I know things are gonna get exciting in that market real quick here.

I really couldn't wait any longer for these kits...

Here's the flywheel i have on my car.
It's a CCC motorsport single mass flywheel weighing 8KG made in Germany.
The clutch is a 550i/335is clutch, we'll see how that holds out. (already had it on my car be4 the project)

Also ordered myself a Vader Solutions breather kit + pcv delete yesterday.
This is still not a "cheap" kit for me.. because brands i had to order parts or fittings from like RB, BMS, ACF, Precision, Vader Solutions,... are all american brands and they cost me a ton of shipping tax.
Oh yeah here's some bad pictures of the car for the heck of it.

I really enjoyed going through the posts, you make it look very easy

If you don't mind me asking about the total spent on this?

Just the turbo parts? I think about 4500 euro's..
That's about 5200 dollars.
But like i said, i have to pay shipping and tax on almost every part and that's what makes it
kinda expensive. (i think it's 29%?)
But going single makes you able to sell different upgrade parts that you only needed on the twins.
Like my aFe st2 intake, BMS downpipes (still for sale tho), RB inlets and also got to sell my Evolution Racewerks chargepipe (DV) even tho this is replaced by a VRSF with Tial BOV.
So minus the VRSF chargepipe about 4000 euro.
You can also sell the twins, but i rather keep all my stock parts just incase. I still have every single part.

Here what my car used to look like, even tho it's not my car but was exact the same from the factory and with black leather seats. This color was never produced from factory with a Mpack sport package and actually very rare on a e92..
I've seen some e90's with this color but didn't like the way it looked.. On an e92 it's a whole different story in my opinion
so i couldn't wait to get rid of all the ugly chrome and recplaced it with Msport and Performance parts interior and exterior.
Rear lights are complete red, and front fog lights are removed.

First month i replaced the coils, sparkplugs, boostsolenoids, vanossolenoids and gave it a wallnut blast.
After that only minor and normal problems occured like clutch wear, front window, oil filter housing and snapped tensioner belt due to the leaky oil from the oil filter housing. It's been running strong and reliable for 3 years now.
As for supension and brakes i gave it Bilstein B14 adjustable coilovers, M3 control arms, perforated rotors, APEX race studs, EBC yellowstuf pads and Ate race fluid so far..
For the 6MT i gave it a UUC short shifter with the BMS billet rod.
Performance wise all the typical bolt ons with NGK 97506 spark plugs gapped at 0,55mm and a BMW Performance exhaust.

Because it came without navigation i just made a stable mount that i saw somewhere on the internet for a black samsung tablet that i bought just for the car haha.. (JB4 and MHD)
It's not with integrated cables or anything but i'm still super happy with the way it looks!
