Change water pump/thermostat with turbo's?

One of the tester sets of NOZ ball bearing turbo's is headed my way. I'm debating changing the water pump and thermostat at the same time the turbo's are installed. The car just passed 100,000 km.

There's a little bit of oil residue around the oil filter housing gasket (not enough to ever require the oil being topped up) so I'm going to change that. Do you think it's worth doing the water pump and t-stat at the same time? With our crappy exchange rate it's almost $700 in parts. I'm generally proactive with maintenance but it's a fair amount of cash to spend on something that isn't broken and the timing coincides with a lot of other car related expenses.

If the water pump has never been changed before, I would definitely do it. I changed mine when it only had 57,000 miles because putting those two parts back in while they were already out just didn't feel right. Its not a ton of work but its a good bit of work to get back in there and by the time you're done doing this upgrade, you won't want to dig back into that for a good while.

I bought my pump for around 400 and sold my used pump to someone for 200.

Yes do it, better to be safe than sorry. You'll have peace of mind for a long time if you do them now.

When I did my ST i replaced my water pump and thermostat. With the failure rate of them, and the ease of access with the sub frame out, it's almost dumb not to replace them.

Same for me as well. When the single turbo kit was getting installed, it made more sense to just replace the water pump/thermostat since it was literally couple bolts away.
