This is just a photo dump for now until I have more energy to add the details.
30790

In an E93, the EKP is in the 'partition' area which is a hidden void between the trunk and the back seat. This area houses the roll over safety system, PDC and comfort access modules and other stuff. In the E90/E92, the EKP is in the trunk on the passenger side wheel well, somewhere in that area.

Remove partition cover and you'll see the EKP(Black) mounted at the bottom near the PDC module(white):
30791
30792

Before you unbolt the EKP from it's bracket, be smarter than me and lift the seat back up and undo the bolts on the bottom so the whole thing comes off:
30793
30794
30795
30796

I begun to fasten the harness connector to the old EKP mounting point, however on an E93 this doesn't leave a good place for the BPM4:
30797
30798

So I decided to mount it to this cross bar instead:
30799

Which leaves a new place for the EKP, which means I don't have to fish as many wires back to the trunk:
30800

Here is the power output wires and mil-spec pigtail that connects to the hat:
30801
30802

Since my EKP is right next to my pumps, I decided to shorten mine a bit(I'd recommend making them a couple inches longer than mine if you have an E93):

30803

Connect the power harness to the EKP, there is also a chassis ground conveniently next to this location:
30804

Down toward the LPFP:
30805

Cut the old power cable out and also cut the rubber boot to make room for the wider gauge power wires:
30806

Wires through the boot:
30807

Hopefully you remembered which wires went to your LPFP:
30808

Done on this end:
30809

30810

The EKP comes with a strong double sided adhesive which is holding it. The seat back and another panel also hold it in place. Notice the red power cable going toward the battery in the top left:
30817

Standing at the left rear quarter panel looking at the back seat:
30812

Can see the red 12v cable coming through:
30813

For easy access and proper routing remove this so you can remove the grey carpet panel:
30815

And then you have easy access to run that wire down to the battery:
30816

----

Things I didn't mention, due to the new placement of the EKP I did have to bust off a few of these ribs on the panel that covers that up behind the seat back:
30818

Also worth mentioning, you must contact @EOSpeed to get the BPM4 windows software, otherwise you won't be able to connect to the device.

And? How do you like the new controller? Notice anything different?

Another thing worth mentioning, the fuel pumps are not primed like the old EKP so don't worry if you don't hear them when you key the ignition. I can't remember why but it had something to do with the car unlocking.

I can hear my 450 priming when I unlock the car, and it sounds a lot louder than the oem setup, though I'm on an N55 which is a slightly different torqbyte config.

Are you just using a single pump?

I hear mine too... especially when flashing mhd or xhp.

That's bad they are supposed to disable during flash I wonder if that's diff vs stock. Def make sure a full write has a charger if that's the case. I've gotten in the habit of not using charger which is prob not wise.

I just flashed xHP yesterday and heard it. Battery charger or not, it's there. And also, two minutes is hardly any reason to put on a charger...imo.

I haven't heard it with mhd in quite some time. Been a long time since I needed an xhp flash, but maybe they didn't get that logic from martial and co. I'd put a charger on for anything but xdelete, small odds but large risk.

I only mean don't forget when you have do a full write for some reason. I do 40 min flashes just shutting air and drl off lol.

We recommend disconnecting the pump side connector when doing a flash. Since we piggyback off the PT-CAN signal, and you flash, it cuts the PT-CAN signal so the unit defaults to 75% output to not leave you stranded somewhere. We are working on a firmware update eventually to fix this issue.

So is my car NOT running correctly permanently now because I flashed it after installing your controller and the controller is permanently stuck at 75% output? If so, we need to fix this. I can email you directly if this is the case.

No NO it only defaults to 75% with no CAN signal, which happens during flash process! As soon as car restarts and all systems are go everything is fine again....you would know if you pumps were only running 75% ;-)

Adding pictures of my bpm4 install in a 135i in case it may be of use.

If running upgraded EOS BMP4, 6an fuel lines with an external fuel filter and running full E85, is it normal for the vehicle to take a long time cranking until it starts?

Are you getting fuel pressure? Leaky injectors? Leaky fuel lines? Are your fuel hats stock?

Some fuel pumps don't have check valves, this allows the fuel in the line to drain and that prime does nothing. Does your fuel system hold pressure before starting up or does it all drain out?

I do recall a time when this prime did not work on the bpm4. I can't remember what happened, maybe it was a low battery, or perhaps a firmware update, or a wiring problem, I think it gets that prime signal over the can bus. I can't remember though, all of this is hazy for me now.
