looking good.

few changes that I would recommend after just finished off my install this week.

- use some stainless steel lines for the vacuum. it gets pretty hot down there.
- I would retap the threads for the O2 so the sensor can get a good electrical ground.

M10 x 1.0 sounds about right for TiAL. For vacuum lines, I use these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/172940631491

He will cut you exact lengths if you contact him. I do recommend you get an exact length you need because they can be bulky if you have too much.

I will say, I think I'm going to switch to a nylon hose next time. The stainless braid can scuff and scratch powder coated finishes and even arc off electrical posts turning the line into a big red hot toaster wire.

Oil is more of a personal thing. Any true synthetic oil would be more than enough. I personally uses the Castrol 0w40 A3/B4, which is a PAO based oil. I have a Borg Warner EFR7670, not the PTE turbo.

For tap, any O2 thread chaser would clear off the ceramic coating so you can get a good electrical ground.

WELL guys.

I never could have imagined how expensive this ST Swap would have turned out to be. as of today. Ive spent roughly 12,000 on parts. New index 12 injectors, Stage 3+ LPFP, New HPFP, motor mounts, Suspension, Doc Racing kit, PR coils, NTK O2 sensors, cerakoting, custom built hardlines, lava wrapping....and ONE MILLION hours of my blood sweat and swears.... with more to come probably.

Advice to anyone looking to do the swap to ST. BE PREPARED for everything to start going wrong or breaking. And i havent even turned up the boost yet....

Ive been adding a few logs to work out the kinks in the support section. Want to give a shout out to all the humans that have helped and given quality support throughout the process. will add some more pictures, videos and logs of my progress once i install this new hpfp.

If you want to do this right, and not a hackjob. Then yes, it will cost a pretty penny. Most people don't speak as much about the corners they've cut. A lot of people are cutting a shit load of corners.

Tell me about it.

I should be picking up my hot parts from the coating facility this week or next.

I stopped counting $ years ago on this car. It just makes you feel better to not know, lol. All you have to do is a "hack job" once on one of these to understand why its better to just coin up, especially on a ST setup. And in the end, like myself, you end up spending more doing it twice, because you tried to be cheap the first time.

Yea, and I'm not rushing anything with this build. I'll leave the car on stands for 3mo if that's what it takes to do it right the first time. I don't have anything pressing that I want to use the car for until September anyhow.

Yep, mine was up on 4 jacks for a little over a month this time. Didn't rush it, fixed all my leaks, made sure to heat protect every damn thing possible, and just made sure everything was done up RIGHT, instead of cheap\quick. There's still a few things I need to finish\do, but the car is running and being driven daily now and the difference between this setup and my last just in smoothness\driveability is night and day.

I look at the cost of mods a bit differently than most, and I also don't count items that are normal items. Injectors, HPFP, plugs, coils - I don't count that stuff unless it's an upgraded version that costs more, like PR coils. Makes me feel better at least :D.

This has been my favorite car to mod yet, and one of the most bang for your buck options available. I think the N54 gives the LS platform a run for its money.

As much as I love my car, and the n54, we are still no where close to giving the LS a run for it's money.

Is there any particular preference on the DOC race kit to have the T right off the wastegates as shown in the pic rather than running the T further up to the top where it can be reached ?

It reduces the amount of hose used and is easily reached. It may look difficult from that pic, but if you saw where the T is you'd have no concerns.

How much did the cerakote help. Not only for guns lol

There are a lot of independent tests you can look up for Cerakote, Cerakote High Temp, and the best Cerakote High Temp Glacier Series. The glacier coating is phenomenal in eliminating radiant heat transmission.
