UPDATE.

so the new TMAP lasted me around 60-70 km.

I had loud pops when I lift the throttle, so Ive open the app, and the TMAP read again huge pressure , around 45psi and take FORWEVER to drop, so I'm on idle and it slowly drop from 45psi to 0psi ; injector and meth is dumping crazy and afr goes nuts rich.

At this point, I'm thinking TMAP dont like meth and damage it ? (using the meth port on the charge pipe)

My audi I spray meth before the tmap for 60k km and no issue, bmw parts are cheap lol
Something is messed up there.
You shouldn't see 45psi.

Sounds like all that sprayed fuel probably due to the wrong boost reading is dumping into the exhaust and igniting from the heat.
Not good for the turbos!
I had a turbo fail after a big meth pop and bang I believe.

Best to have it flow with either injectors or solenoids or check valves but the boost reading must be right.

Ive a external pneumatic boost gauge, the pressure is fine. on idle im in vacuum.

So yes, 100% sure the fuel delivery is bad because of wrong reading.

The TMAP only took a dump and read random numbers.

Now I'm trying to figure why !

- the 1st 3.5bar TMAP from continental never worked, even before my meth setup. So hard to tell what went wrong. Maybe a defect from a new part.

- the 2nd TMAP just stop working randomly while driving.

Ill replace it again.

I dont really want a 6 nozzle meth setup post-TMAP, I'd like to keep the single nozzle pre-TMAP.

I've actually possibly had similar issues.
The mhd flash and the jb4 both affect what the tmap reads to the dme.
If you enable the boost mean (in mhd monitoring), you'll see the boost reported by the tmap. At least while the jb4 is in map 0.

I'll try that for sure tks.

but doubt this is jb4 issue, when the reading finally stabilize after 1or 2 min of cruising, and do a pull, it does the same , got 45psi then slooowwwwlyyy decrease.

I feel like water droplets or oil stick on the sensor and make is very laggy and out of range.

Are your diverter or Blow off valves setup correctly?
I've never had meth injection cause problems with the TMAP.

you think this might affect it?

Is my setup correct ? good question.

So I'm single turbo, so I've a blowoff valve 1'' with spring to the hardest. This is a VW generic bov made for small 1.8-2.0l that boost 25-28 psi, so plenty strong for my 24-26psi setup. iirc the spec sheet called for 36psi max.

So ordered a 3rd one.

And rockauto dont allow me to return the previous one. Part number is for a 2012 to 2016 N20 328 and it denies my return because fits only 2012-2014. WTF.

now 3 options ;

- email them ( good luck)
- return the 3rd one with the 2nd one in the box
- back charge with email proof to my credit card.

Yes I don't know too much about single setups but make sure your blow off valve is setup correctly.
It should be open at idle I believe.

If you go off boost and the BOV isn't letting the boost escape once the throttle closes then you could see pressure in the chargepipe stay high longer than it should.

nah, can't be that, the external boost gauge reads fine and engine runs fine, so no residual pressure.

the TMAP small sensor inside the casing was bent, and very easy to bent back. Cheap stuff.
