XI single turbo?

If you dont mind me asking what were some of the concerns?

Timing is a big concern for me as I want to get this car done as soon as possible due to my upcoming work schedule. I was quoted 3 weeks plus a week or so for coating. I have seen 2 Doc Race kits in person and the quality and fitment were spot on. Both owners were happy with install procedure, fitment, and performance. I have seen one VM top mount (now ACF) that looked and performed great as well per the owner. My only concern with ACF were some reporting lack of meeting anticipated delivery dates and poor communication. Not something I have time for right now. Either way I think both are great kits.

Whatever you do don't fall for the cheap money up front companies. There are no victims, only volunteers.....

Just know that your single install will take longer than you expect, unless you're willing to make some sacrifices. Undoubtedly, you'll notice something that you want to change or upgrade.

If you are on tight schedule and not local, just go with Doc Race.

ACF might be able to put out good stuff when they feel like it, but their communication (basically just go MIA until they feel like responding to you) and their business practice is pretty terrible from my dealing with them. I know guys who has been for waiting for their kit months after the original quoted delivery date.

Can’t go wrong with either kit. I’m the original prototype for Xi on the DOCRace kit. Well over a year and several thousand miles with zero issues (apart from a bum precision turbo which was warrantied and replaced after a bit of fighting with them).

Having said that, V.I. Makes a solid kit. I know the owner and a couple guys in the crew, they take care of their customers and make some high quality stuff.

ViE seems to have a pretty nice kit for the Xi cars... considering picking one up myself once I find the right e90 335xi to put it in
