Why is inpa impossible?

Ok so I've spent my entire weekend trying to get inpa to work so I can code new injectors. I have gotten to the point where I have an xp VM that has the alt-f4 option for injector coding, but if I select it I get error 100. Win 10 inpa has no alt f4 option.

How do I diagnose what I need to do to solve the error 100? I feel like I've watched every youtube video and read every thread regarding injector coding. What do I do? Is there an alternative to inpa coding because I've had it with that program.

I solved it. Here is the solution:

1. Deplete garage of beer and pour way too much whiskey.
2. Get pissed off and start listening to Static X.
3. Try installing the bimmergeeks download and give it one more try. "ONE MORE TIME AND TRULY FOR THE LAST TIME"
4. Remember to breath when it actually works.

LOL, yeah it can be a pain at times. Glad you got it though.
I think you could use Protool to code them too but now that it's done, who cares.

I get that error also, but it works to code injectors.
I suppose 50% of INPA works for me, the rest is errors. A guy on here years ago installed it for me remotely. For some reason he couldnt get it to fully function :(

I wouldn't bother with INPA. ISTA does everything that INPA does, it's all in English and has a nice GUI.

INPA is great for older cars and it's much faster than ISTA but only if you speak German and know your way through all the menus, otherwise you spend ages translating and fumbling through. Also the E90 landed as INPA was being discontinued so most versions I've used are lacking a lot of the scripts that are needed.

Where can I download ISTA for a good price?

I wouldn't trust anywhere that charges for it.

You can get it free on a lot of forums. Try searching google for "BMW Rheingold download". There's a few links on bimmerfest and e90post.

I normally download all my software from the cartechnology.co.uk forums but it appears offline at the moment.

Rheingold is essentially just the offline version of ISTA/D. You don't need the latest and greatest for the E90, any download posted later than 2015 will be fine.

Thank you I was thinking it has to be bought and expensive. You definitely saved me from a headache!

If you're on mega. file sharing you can get the entire installer, its about 90g worth of files. You will need about 500G of space for it to run. Like others have said rheingold download is the way to go.
