iv got my car half apart in the garage, doing the mmp inlets, dps and a few other things ( not turbos yet.. to broke haha ) but i also tried walnut blasting for the first time the other night

Good man! I just went through all of that myself on my xi, jackstand racecar lol. I recently took the rental for recall. 2018 chevy malibu. Not a bad car to drive in the winter. It understeers like crazy in the snow tho.

Well a rental is just for fun =P. But on the xi where the dps' a pain in the ass?

Honestly not that bad considering what all i read before i installed them. I think the hardest part was getting the vbands to line up properly.

Yea same thing with mine, luckily for me, my brother in law worked on them before and works for bmw, so having him around honestly made removing and installing under 2.5 hours since were both mechanically inclined hahah

Walnut blasting however was a real experience for me.

Enterprise traded out my recall rental for a bmw, does anyone know what parts i can swap off of this into my e92 before i give it back lol

I have no idea, my assumption is when i had the windshield replaced after thanksgiving, the safelite tech must've had the cowel off and used the stick as a tool, then dropped it and said forget it.

I got this in the mail yesterday. I quickly tried to install it, but seems to not want to fit. Im guessing it needs to be pushed in quite a bit before it can thread into the pvc housing? Waiting on my catchcan to show up next

ADE, but i figured it out. When removing the factory pvc cap, the green O ring stayed inside the valve cover, so when i tried to put the new one in, it was hitting the oring. Easy enough, took the o'ring out.

I only found this out when i went to put the OEM pvc back in, and when i removed it, the ring fell out. haha

Now i have to remove it and shave down the AN part to slip over a 1/2" hose. Nothing local carries a 8an to 1/2" barb in stock.

• Valve Cover replacement
• Removed Injectors for cleaning and replaced all six seals
• changed all 6 NGK 95770 plugs with fresh ones and gapped them to 0.026 (I have the PR kit)

Here is something I worked on last night, F30 bbk conversion.

I finished installing mmp inlets, outlets and Dps, I will say DPs were so much easier to do when inlets, and outlet was removed, putting the mmp inlets was such a bit*h!!! Omg getting the rear turbo inlet elbow in was so much of a hassle, I removed the Dp's out and spent 4-5 hours on my own, then the next day my brother in law came by to give me a hand (also works on plenty of n54s and he said it was a nightmare.. took us about 2 hours together trying to get it into place, get the clamp ring in the right spot then tighten it down and pray it doesn't move. Next time im going to do it, i will just drop the turbos (or better yet drop the whole motor) themselves which would save alot of time. MMP also recommended that you heat wrap the outlet as they are prone to melting from the intake manifold then to try and secure it away... kinda wish they disclosed that before selling it. It all bearly fits in place I dont know how many others have done this on the 1 series, but man it all fits in there tight, like really tight. I did send mmp photos of everything and hopefully nothing melts since they are all close to the manifolds.

Good question. Before my PR ignition kit, I had them gapped at a recommended 0.022 by my tuner. It was okay, but I would experience some misfires here and there (after making sure it wasn't the coil/plug/injectors) running straight ethanol. The custom flash tune targets 26psi then tapers down to 20psi to 19psi on RL. I then I heard about the PR kit. With the new MHD dwell tables, longer duration of spark, and increased voltage etc, I can run a wider gap as recommended by PR for my setup. I've tried them at various gaps, i.e 0.018, 0.022, and 0.026. I felt the best results from the 0.026 gap. The other two felt the same. It pulls harder on it and I have yet to experience any misfires (cross my fingers). Hope that helps.

I'd like to know how they perform after a 1,000 miles. I've been thinking about that conversion for some time, but using the ECS 2 piece rotors.

That makes alot of sense, I recently got my ngks and was told by my tuner to gap them to 0.018, hopefully those will work out for me.
