No doubt that engine compartment looks like a place one would want to do work. I don't know how people work in a filthy environment. That said ... couple more photos just to see what you have going on, at some point, would be cool to see.

I have both my filters under the manifold as that's the only place for them running of modified F & R silicon inlet pipes.

My manifold barely gets luke warm and my inlet temps are between 80's to low 90f while pounding on the car, This new EOS phenolic gasket is amazing.

Don't have any pics of the car atm as its getting pulled apart to fit the new goodies that are coming in.

The intake system is all custom fabricated, hand made and not cheap.

These babies arrived today to help put some stress on the double barrel, lets see how it copes.

So its been over a year running the double barrel and over 10k miles and it hasn't missed a beat and gets pounded on regularly.

Just goes to show this kit works and proven to be reliable, pumps seem to be holding up very well and hoses have no sign of deterioration which was my biggest concern.

Car engine runs silky smooth with absolutely no issues, no coughing or spluttering or any type of hiccup.

Real purty engine, sir. But where is your air intake?

This is a part of my custom fabricated inlet and charge pipe

The inlet is minimum 2 inch and charge pipe is 3 inch from IC to throttle body.

Custom inlet system with filters under the manifold.

VTT GC 2.0
I really dig the idea of the shotgun setup and would much rather run it than port injection so I'm interested in seeing how your setup is gonna turn out with the new twins. Hopefully the shotgun will be more feasible for me when I get up to that power level but unfortunately I'm planning to go PI for now, as it seems like you can DIY it with one of these new intake manifolds for relatively cheap.

Please give us as detailed posts about the GC 2.0s as you have with the double barrel! I'm basically sold on the GCs at this point, only other thing I'd really consider is a bottom mount single, but I like the idea of keeping twins and they seem to be the only option for staying competitive with a high HP build.

I agree. I have a VTT single barrel and Motiv twin disk clutch sitting on my parts shelf for when I do the turbos. I just want to be around 600whp and I think I can get there DI only with ethanol and single barrel. I'm not interested in two fueling systems, much less two control systems.

Dude bite the bullet and get the double barrel, you won't be dissapointed, i have all the fuelling needs and never have to worry about my fuel pump pressures ever again.

All the controller does is control the fuel pressure referenced my rpm and boost and you can't have too much rail pressure on our cars

Too bad for some of us as the VTT Single Barrel doesn’t fit the xi models.

Between 80 and 90f on full boost top of 4th

The air is cooler down there than near the bonnet like the dual cones

It's good to be hearing this kind of feedback, since at this point that's been the only real DI-only solution we've had. The Z4 has more room in some ways, you wouldn't believe how much stuff is not quite the same in spite of being N54. I've heard the double barrel is a bit of a modification pain on the Z4. I think I can get what I need out of the single barrel.

And while I drag feet on the turbos getting done, we'll see if the stock-style twin HPFP work yields anything.
