I spoke to Jon Vigil and he filled me in a bit on what he's got going on.

The kit is a divided top mount manifold, holding a GTW3884 62 or 64mm BB. The kit will be $4600 +sh and coating is +300.

I was going to mention this myself. It looks extremely high. could just be angle of picture, I'm not sure.

Actually, it is EXTREMELY too high. I just looked at my bay, and my turbo top sits almost flush with the top of the motor and my turbo just taps my hood when fully closed.

EDIT: It looks as though there are several different orientations of his manifold when looking through his pictures.... So I would assume final product will fit properly, but would've been nice to see the properly fitting one on release pictures.

This was an initial prototype he made and it's basically the same, but I know Jon due to the fact we started the NRW Turbo Snout based off his request.

This kit made 634Awhp and 596tq on 23-24 PSI. He could have gotten more but an S2 LPFP needs addressing first.

If you guys aren't familiar with Jon Vigil or VI Engineered you should follow them, he makes some really crazy stuff.

Was hoping you'd chime in as we've discussed this guy and what he's been making. Thanks for clarifying.

I was there at the dyno to observe the tuning and snout performance. Overall we all left happy but the test car didn't want to go beyond an E50/60 mix for his PI. So power was very much on the table and spool is sorta moot since in Denver, CO we can't exactly make good comparisons to lower elevations.

Nice numbers. Elevation does skew things a bit, but dynocoms read pretty high as well. I'd wager this is 585ish on a dynojet. How does the boost profile look?

The Dynocoms do read high I absolutely agree but a dyno is a dyno, and Ben the operator made sure it was calibrated correctly however I wasn't there to see him do his work. I'm not even sure how they go about calibration but when I get my VIE ST kit purchased I'll be dyno-ing on a Dyno jet I've used for the last decade.

His numbers are in line with other ST kits at that same boost target 23-24psi. I'm not the tuner just the observer in this instance. ;) I'll let Jon or Aje post logs since I don't have them.

Hey guys, I’m the owner of VI engineered. The kit pictured is our working prototype. It is about 1/8in taller than our production units but clears the hood fine. I wanted something that wasn’t going to be so close to the valve cover. As of right now we have kits in production and have shipped out 3. We have two installed on local cars and more being made. I’ve been designing and building manifolds for almost ten years so there is a lot of experience being brought to the table as far as design and actual building of these units.

Just want the N54 needs, another cheap top mount single kit.........................

At least the parts look like they are high quality, I can appreciate craftsmanship, but can we say over saturated market 5 times fast?

Maybe it is but with as quick as vendors come and go, why not come to the table with a kit that’s well built and makes great power? It’ll put twin cars’ dick’s in the dirt with proper supporting mods.

I'm ST, and prefer it, but you're flat out wrong on putting twin cars' dicks in the dirt. You gotta do your hw dude.

Now that all depends. What type of racing are we comparing? Omar just set the half mile record for auto trans in a single turbo car.
