Technical VanJen Turbo Pipe Clamping System

Anyone use these? How do you like them? I have a boost leak and was thinking of fixing the system once and for all. Pricey but looks convenient.

I have basically solid motor mounts so I should be good to go I think. Any reviews? Doesn't seem to be a ton online. 1st one to come up on my google search was one breaking.

I was thinking I would also get away from the stock C clip at the TB with one of these. Anyone have good or bad experience eliminating the stock C clip.

I used and still use Tridon smartseal clamps on all of my silicon coupling to metal beaded end applications, never had any issues. Even on builds with 32 psi.
They have a 1/2" or 5/8" wide version.

I used them on all of my charge piping and intercooler when I made my setup. Never any issues. You have to be careful you don’t put in too much heat and warp the flange when you weld them on though or they won’t seal for shit.

I never understand how stock c clip doesnt leak more often

Looks to be similar to plazmaman clamps.
Guarenteed to stay on. Very popular in high boost cars in Australia.
They have plenty of flex.

... and they are not particularly expensive, either .... which is great as that stuff adds up.

Agreed that they look like Wiggins clamps. Pricey ones, too! Other brands are easily half that price for the same sizes.

I have the alphaloc on my chargepipe by my throttle body, no c clip for me. Although, I think I want to add a wiggins or another one on the other end going toward my FMIC. The AD-E FMIC up pipe rests against the vert brace that goes through that area so its kinda tight due to a slight deflection. Currently I use t-bolts on the silicon hose which works great, but that is not nearly as convenient as twisting off a clamp.

This looks like you have to use tools to remove? The alphaloc you just twist with your bare hands.

I have such a hell of a time keeping my charge pipe oriented correctly with TB and keeping it that way. This locking system looks fantastic. I have no clue who could modify mine to handle that though.
