Updated n55 pump on N54?

Anyone know if this is possible?

They sell a vacuum pump adapter that would allow for us to convert over to the smaller pump.

They're both PWM as well but I'm not sure how that complicates things in the DME.

You could physically install the newer style (added to the N55 in March of 2012) N55 piston HPFP but your DME would not run and you would be missing the wiring needed.

The newer style pump stock for stock is not superior, but you can buy upgraded versions of the newer style pump from xdi, Dorch, Spool, Precision Race, Nostrum, Fuel it, etc. And considering the price of a new N54/N55 rotary HPFP it would be awesome if we could run the newer styled N55/B58 pumps.

I'm new style and just bought a Dorch stage 2. But for older style, look into the PFS POD, that seems to be a pretty solid option. It's a planetary overdrive for the stock pump.

But My overdrive is still putting in work, at 29psi through a 3582r running about E65 in the tank. Dips to 2100 at the top of third, 4th stays above 2500

But it costs more than a PI plate + AIC controller, doesn't clean your valves, and you can't run full E85 my friend at the same boost/timing

from what ive seen and read BMP makes the best PI for the buck.. Its the only kit that actually come with extended studs ?? Any recommendations ?? I was thinking BMP and a motive reflex
