High Flow Turbine sensor that outputs a 0-5v signal to be used with capable Meth controllers (IE- our Evolve MC1, Torqbyte CM5, Aquamist HFS4) and Aftermarket ECUs so you can know your meth flow rating in real time as well as use flow as a safety, on top of or instead of typical pump amperage monitoring.

Easter Egg: Our Flow Guard (FG-1) integrates with the Factory DME of your N54 (N55 and S55 coming soon) to dynamically and instantaneously allow your DME to adjust boost(load), ignition timing, and fueling as a direct response to meth flow. This allows you to achieve a number of things.

But here are a couple:

1. In the event of a meth flow issue (reduction or complete) with the DME tune setup correctly the DME will instantly lower boost, adjust fuel and timing down to nill, or within a user set safe non meth or reduced methanol content level.

2. allow you to run one map for no meth and with meth rather than having two separate maps. Simply turn off your meth controller when you don't want to use meth and DME will run on the tune non meth settings. Turn meth back on and the DME will instantly adjust settings to meth flow levels.

3. Flow capacity from 0 to 2500cc of methanol flow. so its suitable for chargepipe style or higher flowing direct port setups like we offer.

What do you need to make this all work?

1. TT Flowguard FG-1 kit
2. MHD Flasher (N54 specific)
3. MHD Flex Fuel Module License (N54 specific)
4. Custom Map to Setup the failsafe (N54 specific)

General Non N54 use:

1. Twisted Tuning Flowguard FG-1 kit
2. Capable Meth controller and/or aftermarket ECU or gauge capable of utilizing 0-5v input (IE- Evolve MC-1, Torqbyte CM-5, Aquamist HFS4, Haltech Units, AEM Units, and etc.)

****NOTE- not compatible with cars that have Motiv flex fuel sensor installed. TT Flowguard and Motiv FF sensor cannot be run in unison. Only one or the other****

Looks like the flow sensor can be setup to run -4 lines? What are we looking at for release date/price?

I'll be offering it with the 1/4" push lock and -4an fittings because our meth kits are offered with that option.

Release date, not sure just yet. at least a month out for production reasons.

Price will probably be about $225-230 intro/preorder pricing and $250-260 regular price.

Bad ass, all meth systems should have a flow sensor IMO. One of the reasons I went with AquaMist. This is quickly looking like the meth kit to run for the N54.

How is the meth flow percentage measured? Or perhaps the better question, how is that # calculated?

-4AN FTW, not a fan of push locks even though I know they work ok.

I will likely be in for a -4an setup when its ready to go

Flow calculations are taken care of internally in the FG-1 control cylinder. then sent to the dme for it to be able to adjust in realtime.

Sounds good bud.

hmm glad you guys pursued this path
definitely makes it a lot better for meth use

Thank you. yea I think a lot of meth users will love the added flexibility and control

Hey, can you tell more about events where the DME maybe cuts fuel like DTC related events for example?
I really like the thoughts of your controller and thinking about trying it (maybe chris already contacted you), but i want a solution which works 100% especially because i use the car on the track really often!

Ok I missed this completely.

Thank you for pioneering this, it's a jb4 without the stuff I dont want and extra complication.

I'm getting one of these from you asap. It's basically perfect, will it work in conjunction with flex fuel as well?

Hi! Can this sensor be used/added to JB4 with custom backend flash? Will the JB4 read the information? Thanks and sorry for the questions.

Do you need to run a controller also or Is this a replacement for the controller I currently use?

Does it have a built in anti-syphoning valve? Cause that would be great!

This is directly tied into the DME, so once the tune is setup. Its a set it and forget it setup.

this, im not sure. I put no effort or time into verifying or researching if this would work with the JB4. This was designed for Flash only use. Directly integrated with the Factory DME.

This only monitors flow and reports it to the dme(via custom tune), it does not replace a controller.

@typedRew is correct. You still need the controller to activate and control pump and solenoid function. Unless you went to a simple on off setup for the meth.

all my Meth injection kits have solenoid valves as well as needed chack valve for added security against siphoning.

So this is an extra layer on top of the current (amp) monitoring that most controllers have? I have mine setup so boost solenoid ground is cut when current draw drops but with this it would just kick you to a different map without any CELs?

yes, setup with direct feed to DME, DME will adjust timing, boost, and fueling as a direct response to Meth flow. No CELs, as its coded DME logic.

I think you misunderstood- your product is a sort of failsafe which helps the car to not run a meth map, when the meth is not flowing (and also interpolates between the two maps meth and non meth) right?

I totally see how this System makes meth more safe to use- in conjunction with your direct port meth Setup you also address Distribution Problems, which imo are common with the widely used one nozzle in the CP Systems.

But there still are Problems (same with PI) when it Comes to events where the DME cuts fuel (safety Problems, for example because rail crashes, DTC related events where fuel is cut and throttle is closed etc. etc.)- since you still need to rely on an external Controller for the meth you still have those risks, right?

Also for example with a direct port setup behind the TB you propably gonna have a big shift bog like you have it with the port injection system when the TB Closes and the DME cuts fuel for the few moments during shifting, which results in too rich AFRs after shifting because of the latency of the PI controller?

The shiftbog during a fast shift is one Thing, but how the System reacts when fuel is cut due to traction control another, because i imagine every latency in the System will result in a not 100% working System with symptoms like bogging because of too righ AFR or other stuff?

Would be happy to hear a few thought from you to my concerns and maybe your practical experience.

You, as so many others, also mention uneven distribution, but after soon 4 years of running CP injection I have yet to see any evidence. Do you have some?

Not exactly evidence, but BMW uses 1 injector per two cylinders, just fyi

This is running just distilled water of course

And water is only injected over 5000 RPM at high load...
