How hot does the turbo inlet get? I was looking at putting together my own set of inlets. Just wanted to make sure I don't choose couplers that will melt. The couplers I was looking at are good until 350F

Good question, I'm not sure which is more hot, the compressor inlet or the exhaust manifold being nearby. I'm assuming you have twins?

Until the stockers die... Then i wanna go single. That's why I wanted to make my own set for potentially cheaper than the others.

Trying to avoid vsrf, mmp, and other chinese brands if at all possible (because of horrow stories of melting silicone, could just be install error idk). I dont want cheap inlets with crap filters. I'd prefer some nice blue ones like PR has.

Ok ... my understanding is that inlets are not the problem. Outlet is where temp issues exist. Buy "cheap" inlets, in my experience, they work.

My MMP outlet melted. Never had a problem with the inlets.

Inlet is on the cold side of the turbo...

Just go passenger side inlets. Much cleaner, you don't have to ziptie the front inlet away from the belts which looks hack as fuck, and will prepare you for your single turbo conversion in the near future.

Agree total hack. I just didn't want to stuff that intake on the hot side, but no idea if that matters. To get out of zip ties, here's what we did. Across the motor in the front, anyone can do this - a short standoff, Adel clamp, and bolt. Coming around the alternator, we made a bracket - I'm surprised no one makes such a bracket for sale - easy and cheap to make, would have good profit I would think.
