I thought I'd make this thread since there's quite a few different options out there, feel free to add suggestions to the list.

I’m using 034 engine and trans mounts and whiteline rear subframe inserts and differential bushings. Haven’t had any issues with the 034 engine mounts yet like a lot of people have. If they fail I’ll probably switch to ADE. And I’m just waiting to buy my new lathe to make aluminum rear end bushings.

Any idea how that works or if its effective or even worth doing?

Thats the insert kit I have on the car that I was referring to. I’ll post a review after I start tuning.

I have the turner delrin sleeve + aluminum center rear subframe bushings, I think these are probably the best available. Same rigidity as full aluminum, but a much easier install

The install is pretty easy. I don't think it made a huge difference but my car was almost stock when I put those in. I have Turner solid aluminum SFB's in the garage but I won't be doing that install myself.

I have the Rogue tranny mounts and M3 diff bushings, and E46 M3 tranny mounts are another popular option.

Fuck 034 motor mounts. Complete junk. No one should use them. Even new they are junk. See my review on this forum. There should be a disclaimer regarding them.

Solid mounts are the best...depending on your goals of course.

I have the solid turner diff and subframe. Don't get solid diff if you hate diff whine. It doesn't bother me and mine is not bad but I have heard others and it is louder/worse.

I've had the whiteline rsfb inserts for the last 50k+ miles. Also have all M3 arms and coilovers. Can definitely say they adequately stiffen the subframe bushings and are worth the time or money unless considering solid bushings like delrin or aluminium. I would not bother with the M3 rsfb.

That said, I'll be switching to solid aluminium next time the rear subframe is out.

Another note from my experience with my car and others I've helped modify over the years is that in THIS chassis, the nvh is derived from differential bushings and engine mounts. Trans and rsfb don't seem to contribute much of anything.

No mention of powerflex bushing here!

I run solid powerflex black series diff and subframe bushes. They do what they say on the tin. Firmed the car up nicely NVH is most defiantly increased as to be expected with solid mounts, And the solid one piece subframe bushes where an absolute pig to fit!

I would argue aluminum will stay true longer in theory. The cost is not that high in comparison. The new m3s come with solid metal subframe bushings stock. I see no reason to not go metal. Same with diff imo. But you will have whine with diff.

Wanted to throw in my 2 cents, recently installed a set of condor speedshop subframe and differential solid subframe bushings and love them! For one they are cheap as hell, only 300 bucks for the whole set and are made of uhmw plastic which is a sort of ballistics plastic, doesnt dry rot or crack, and is able to absorb "some" nvh, build quality was fantastic and fitment was spot on! Noticeable improvement in engine response and minimal nvh added

RSFB feedback::

Just put in the Bimmerworld solid aluminium subframe mounts. Rear end is rock solid. I can't feel any added NVH at all.

They cost less than $300, though the install cost IS higher unless you have an extensive shop at home as they had to be pressed in. Not something you can easily do in your garage IMO.

After driving cars and mine with various setups, I dunno why anyone would bother with anything other than 1. Stock, 2. White line inserts, or 3. Solid aluminium.

Anything else is just an expensive compromise.
