My close friends N54 Unfortunately spun a Crank hub yesterday, The cherry on top was that i was driving....
The car is Rwd and manual, has FBO+inlets running 17psi through daw stage 2's, on a E50 tune with 8*'s of timing in it. This was the 5th pull maybe on this map. Before this he was on a safe 14psi pump gas tune. Car has 160k miles on it, no prior work related to the crank hub. Also it has a factory dual mass flywheel.
The events prior to it happening, I was doing a flyby for him so he could record. I slightly brake boosted 2nd, and as i clutched in to go to third the engine died with a unpleasant noise.
Diagnoses so far is that the crank bolt backed out.
