That Affirm option is the dumbest thing you can do.
Apply for a credit card and put it on that, lower interest. By far.

If you take my advice you'll be in good shape or go apply for a 6k credit limit and bomb that credit scoreThat Affirm option is the dumbest thing you can do.

I would pick the speedtech kit over Doc Race any day.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a turbo that spools at or before 4k rpm and that is able to make upwards of 600whp on pump 93? I'm not looking to run a percision by the way. On my evo i had a 6466 and 6266 that only lasted 5-7k miles on both of those builds when my holstet lasted 20k+ miles. I'm thinking of a s362 or a garret gtw3476
The turbos were brand new when I used them, but that was like 7-8 years ago. So I will be using flex fuel if I need to but was hoping to hit at least 560whp on pump like i am now with the twins that just blew up. I am running a mix of 93 and 100 octane and i see almost zero knock. As far as tuning the boostbox it works fine on my st car. Just plugged it in and away I went. Very simple.
Why out of curiosity?
You are going to need a big turbo to hit 600 on 93 alone. Larger than a 6466 which is a 90 lb/min turbo. You will want to run cp or dp meth to get to hit your goal of 600whp on 93 or have a very large laggy turbo...
That garret 3476 is a 70 lb/min turbo way too small. You will need 100 lb/min turbo or larger to hit 600whp on 93 alone.
A precision rebuild is what 700? They should last longer than 5k miles regardless. Not par for the course from what I have seen from precision. Were yours new or used? Did you send them back for rebuilds? What failed on each turbo? Did you use an oil restrictor?
Yeah I think that's what I'm going to do then! Gtw3884r it is. Hopefully spool up isnt too bad!Well a 6266 seems to make around 550whp on 93 alone:

135i - DocRace 6266 - Pump gas results
Not many people worry about pump gas and just want to go huge numbers on e85. I'm almost an hour away from the closest e85 pump and it would be just a hassle to have to deal with it. Plenty of people are curious about pump gas results and you don't see them to often. Mod list: JB4 + MHD...bmw.spoolstreet.com

N54 6266 pump gas 93oct dyno
I stopped being lazy and wrote my 93 octane winter / road trip tune. Peep the video for all the turbo noises: 510 whp / 459 wtq SAE The dyno had a minor hiccup with speed signal on the 510 run. No clue why, literally the only run where it happened. 20 psi, 7.5* timing. AFRs 11.9-12.1 up...bmw.spoolstreet.com

A 6266 is rated for 800hp and 6466 900 hp.
That garret gtw3884r is like 85 lb/min compared to 90 lb/min the 6466 so rather comparable on output not that lb/min tells everything and there is no compressor maps for the precisions.
Unfortunately you need a fair amount of turbo to make good numbers on straight 93 on the n54. My suggestion would be to run meth as it is cheap and the gains are good.
Not going to go wrong with that gtw3884r. I would spend the 600 more and get the superior designed and larger turbo. It will also get you closer to your goals. But really, run meth if you have no e85 access.
Which twins shit the bed?
All installed and running great. I went with the gtw3884r in 6265 form with a 1.0ar. Spool is like stock and pulls till redlineI have the Speedtech kit at home, it has a really nice quality and the design is thoughtfully all the way.
I prefer the Bottom mound kit´s, less heat in the engine bay, no melted valve cover and so on, and it looks stock in the first view.
I run the kit with a GTW3684R with the small 0.70 A/R, Yes it will have less max power regarding a 1.00 A/R. But I have the focus on spool.
The boost will controlled with a CANChecked Data Display with boostcontroller and a 4-port MAC.
