SMFW noise does it get any better?

I just installed a steel spec SMFW with a stage 2+ non-sac clutch. I was expecting some noise but nothing like this. Pretty much any time under 2500rpm and a slight load it you can hear it. It is extremely faint but can also be heard on decel around 2000rpm. Does this get any better? If not I will go back to a DMFW and deal with the false misfires. This ruins the enjoyment of the car for me.

That's what ya got now.. you can toy around with different trans mounts and gear oil to mask it as well as bump the idle

I have the idle bumped up. I can deal with idle but I can't live with the acceleration noise. I am on stock motor and trans mounts. I have seen some say it gets some what better so I'll give it a chance. Most likely it's coming out. I wish there was an alternative.

The acceleration drone on my MFactory SMFW and 550i clutch combo lessened over time. It took a few thousand miles before I could really say it got better. I felt like taking it right back out the first few weeks after I installed the combo.

The 'drone' also calmed down after I installed DPs that weren't secured by a bracket on the trans (like the stock DPs are).

I hope it will get a little quieter. Thank you for the input!
why are you trying to accelerate from under 2k rpm anyways :nomouth:

It will do it from 2500. With a DMFW accelerating from under 2k doesn't even feel like it is lugging the car.
