After ~20k miles of ADEs I wanted a more daily-friendly motor mount.

I got in touch with Turner Motorsport and Sean was able to help me pick a durometer and answer questions. Per Sean, TMS has sold 35 sets of 60A mounts and 30 sets of 80A mounts since their introduction. There were no returns / no reported issues with the 60A, and 2 returns / no reported issues with the 80A (most likely too stiff). Also he relayed positive feedback from the owner of a car with 60A mounts that sees 70% daily 30% track use. Very helpful in confirming my choice of 60A before buying.

Shipping was fast, no issues, good packaging with lots of padding. I installed the mounts on 12/08. Fitment is great - engine sat exactly as it did with ADEs.

Good-looking metal casings and hardware.
Note the insulation plate on the passenger-side mount, a nice touch.

I forgot to take pictures of the underside - the mounts are held together by 6 hex bolts in a circle underneath, with a flat metal base. The polyurethane insert is not visible from the bottom unlike OEM, 034, or Revshift.

Vibration measured at the cluster / steering column, stock idle.

My impressions: TMS did a very good job producing a performance-oriented, yet daily-friendly motor mount. You can 100% feel the engine when you slam gears or otherwise drive the car hard, but it becomes much more civilized and so much smoother when driving normally around town. Speed bumps are no longer an exercise in feathering the clutch and my engine no longer feels like a 900lb truck motor. Most importantly all the annoying interior squeaks and rattles (118k miles on my car) stopped with the new mounts, as I hoped they would. There is no engine movement during cranking or shutdown, so you will feel it a little there.

At the time of writing I've logged just under 500 miles of *hard* driving:
  • several 2-3-4 highway pulls at 23psi (single turbo 6266, high 500s wtq)
  • clutch kicks and drifting
  • donuts
  • several high rpm clutch dumps, one prolonged burnout
The motor mounts seem to be holding up great. Same can't be said for my rear tires lol

Disclaimer: normally I wouldn't write a review with so few miles. However the reported sales vs. returns numbers are solid, and @V8bait is running the 60A mounts for 8 months now with no issues (thank you for your feedback Justin).

Curious about the vibration measurement... how was that derived? Z axis accelerometer from a data logger mounted on the dash in front of the cluster?

Not questioning it, just interested...

Vibration app meter on my phone. I'm too poor for a fancy datalogger lol

The difference between MIN, MAX, and AVG is the meaningful data here - since the measurements were done in the exact same way. The actual numbers are less important.

I have the 60A as well and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I would say there is roughly about a 500-1000 mile break in period on them though. At first I thought the vibration was going to be a bit too much, but after said break in period they barely vibrate at all and I really don't notice much difference between my car and my buddies with the 335is mounts.

That's awesome... great idea!

I switched from 034 street density mounts to the 60A Turner mounts and the difference is noticeably better, especially with my stage 3+ spec clutch.

They have been on my car for about 5k miles now. Things feel much sturdier when engaging the clutch, that's the major difference I noticed.

one year later.... my mounts melted.

full disclosure: my oil drain pipe was leaking oil on the mount, is it related? maybe... i will give them benefit of the doubt and order another set to try

unfortunately 60a replacement mounts are out of stock so i will go 80a and see how bad it gets

Were you running any kind of heatshield? I believe Justin said that for any poly mount in that position you should have a fabricated heat shield to guard against the heat from the downpipes.

I have a BFI mount (similar construction) waiting to go in and am going to build a heat shield from some of that dimpled aluminum to try and prolong the poly life.

nope... running them as is... the casing itself should work as a shield i believe... if this doesnt work i might go with a 034 mount or 335is mount instead...

well let see if my new mounts will fail the same way...if they do then i am going to see what ecstuning will say
unfortunately i bought my old mounts and they sat for ~1 year before i had a chance to put it in my car and use them so the warranty is long gone

Only an issue for those with twin turbos so far right? I don't think my top mount manifold or downpipe come close to the passenger side MM iirc.

Been debating whether a 60 or 80 mm is a good plan, I might try 60 and see where it takes me
