This is a $7 one from AliExpress. I am sure these are that same ones selling for much more from our favorite vendors. Safer to buy it from a trusted vendor in case of problems and timely support but these work well.

Paint can removal tool is my favorite trim tool of all time. This panel has 4 posts. Top left and right, and bottom left and right. Hook the top and pull it free

This pic I am showing the 4 posts location on the trim panel and the of set screws you need to remove. One on each side of the CD player.

There are more screws along the glove box but I only removed the first one

I went super cheap bahhhstard $3.80 shipped on mobile phone. Gotta love chinese subsidized shipping. I'll keep it around for when the dash comes apart for wiring a tablet.

Nice install and very helpful instructions on how to get the dash apart. That isnt always easy to figure out in different vehicle

Please confirm that on a 2011 Z4 E89, there is no possibility of changing this button without taking out the dash . Thank you .

Only way to pull out that switch is to squeeze the tabs in the back so it can pull free of the hole.
