How is it doing of a dig? Do you think we are going to start seing better 60' with this tranny or is it something we going to have to wait till they release a higher stall?
A lot of this is rear end. Dif and axles

Still confused on posts like this for transmission upgrades. We have multiple customers running 650WHP on stock tranny with alpina flash, a cooler, and good fluid with no problems. The only way you can see if a tranny upgrade is worth its weight in salt is to put a proven 700WHP to it, launch it, and see what it does on the 4-5 shift. Anything else is proving nothing. This whole thing is eerily similar to threads about the LVL 10 "upgrade" posted 3 years ago. So many people "tried" it. Said yes it works great, then people making real power, racing their cars, realized actually it doesn't. The only results that matter are people making big power racing their cars, besides that, its meaningless.
How much boost are you able to build from a dig?

The great part of this review is that it shows characteristics of both a FBO car and will show the characteristics of a 750-800 Single turbo car. It will be unlikely that this early that we get to see how it handles both ranges of power. Even better Chris and Jimmie will know the difference since they know how it performed before and after. I can imagine Jimmie cant wait until he gets is fueling installed so he can turn up the boost. Thanks for keeping us updated with the progress guys!
same car?

I was under the impression that the single turbo cars weren't building enough boost of the line.A lot of this is rear end. Dif and axles
I'm curious if that is just for second gear launches?I was under the impression that the single turbo cars weren't building enough boost of the line.
With a combo of brake boosting and antilag, I'm able to build about 12psi before it wants to push through. So without an increased stall or trans brake, timing is everything to build max boost right as the light pops.
I was hoping you'd chime in! Surprised it took this long. As we can all read, I'm not trying to prove anything. I (not affiliated with any shop) am paying out of pocket to build the car and test this trans throughout all of it's ranges, from daily driving, to quirks of the twin turbo, to the average person's 500-600whp build, and now in to the 750-800whp "big power" range. But, having said that, let's be honest, horsepower itself isn't going to break a trans, torque/shock is what's going to put it in to the ground.
I am especially appreciative of your last sentence, because you've just qualified this thread as being meaningful since the car will be putting down more than your 700whp requirement later this week and I do race it, every weekend, plus 2 or more nights a week while tuning/logging.
Thanks man. I've been doing the best I can to get you guys the feedback you deserve.
Yep. Same car.
It is very solid from a dig. I'm launching with anywhere from 10-15lbs of boost on 275/40/17 MT ET streets and there is no hesitation/groaning during the pull or while driving easy later on. I'm confident 60' times will drop with this trans alone as launching technique is refined, but a higher stall will definitely make it easier to launch with your target boost. Unfortunately, the reality of increased stall won't be as easy as swapping in a different torque converter since the oem case was never originally designed for drag. I'd imagine the converter would have to be larger, thus requiring a different/modified bell housing. I'm sure Jason is already working an upgrade though.
I was able to get the stage 3 pump in, but I won't get a chance to install the pi rail and meet with chris for tuning/logs until Thursday at the earliest. I'm really trying to get some good pulls/videos before I head out on vacation.
I was under this same impression. thought that was the reason why most singles end up with worse 60 ft times, slower et's, and much higher mph despite making a lot more power.I was under the impression that the single turbo cars weren't building enough boost of the line.

what fuel pump is that?A sneak peak of what is being done right now...
Also got the stage 3 pump and pi installed. Should be updating the tune this week. More to follow.
