Preventing the car from falling asleep

Does anyone know how to prevent the car (bmw m2) from sleeping when I am coding, or flashing software?

I heard you must keep the drivers side seat belt plugged in to prevent the car from falling asleep, but that doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

Certainly don't know specifics for an M2 but leaving the driver door open is the tradition thing to do I think.

I'll give it a shot, but I'm pretty sure doors are supposed to be closed for coding.

For future reference, plug the drivers seatbelt in and your car shouldn't turn off anymore

I did, it didn't work. But I have already addressed the issue and the car doesn't fall asleep anymore.
