Everything is on hold, blew 3rd gear off the main shaft when doing a 3rd gear log.

When I say blew, there is absolutely no 3rd gear at all.

Waiting on a new gearbox from BMW.

Its working perfectly but I need some track time, with the current situation and extensive reliability mods things fell behind schedule and it looks like we are heading into a second lock down due to covid.

Things are progressing but very slowly, seen sainls move faster.

****Update****

Well, I finally got a change to pull the old pump out last night. Hopefully if all goes well, I'll get the new Walbro 450 mounted tonight....and maybe get it all back together. Man, some of those hoses and connectors sure where a pain to get off after being hooked up for 13 years! The ring on top fault me a little bit....but after a little spray of some penatrating lube...it came with off.

I think I've decided to go "bucketless" and cut the bottom out of the oem bucket. I'm never planning to autocross or track the car, so I'm not all that worried about fuel starvation. . Apparently drag racing and hard launches in a straight line doesn't cause any fuel starvation issues with the bucketless setup. It's just so much cleaner of an install with one BMP fitting for the Walbro......vs. all the extra T's, clamps, hoses, etc, etc....you need to keep the venturi plumbed in to the system. More stuff to fail....

Well, I got the new Stage 2 Walbro 450 LPFP installed last night. That BMP fitting is pretty slick....it's a nice and clean install, no other fittings or hoses to work with. Zip-tieing everything together makes me a little nervous....but everyone does it, so I'm assuming it should be ok.

The car fired right up, nothing exploded , and I'm getting right at 72psi at idle.

Looking forward to getting out this weekend and running some logs to see how it does. I'll probably switch over to an E40 tune the next time I fill might. Might as well take advantage of the added flow of this pump I guess đź‘Ť

I blame @Torgus for showing me the pfs diy kit and making me spend mor money lol. Ended up ordering the Bucket/top hat kit and filter from them, going to get the 535 from the same place @IQraceworks got the 450 from. The pfs kit will save me time and Chris’ costumer service was second to none, which is nonexistent these days.

I logged a pull after my new Stage 2 LPFP install. No issues at all with it geting down to under 50psi. I noticed that before the pull, the psi was around 72....I'm pretty sure this is what the DME is supposed to target. But after the the, it help right around 85psi......even in park, and at idle...85psi. If I restart the car, it will go back to a target of around 72. But if you put a load on the motor, it's back up to 85psi...is that normal?

After sitting 20 miles from my house for three days my pump finally arrived today. I’m not sure what’s going on with USPS.

Anyway to my surprise the pump was simply tossed into a envelope and sent with zero protection which rubbed me the wrong way. Upon opening the package I noticed the pump had a dent in the body from the connector from some sort of impact I’m assuming. It would probably work fine But this kind of stuff really annoys me and I am not good with it. It turns out I ordered from a different place than @IQraceworks. When your pump was shipped did it at least come with some sort of bubble wrap?

Got my tank down to 6 miles and was ready to do the install this weekend but I guess that’s all on hold. Grrrrr.

Edit: Vendor is saying those marks are quality control marks to indicate the pump passed some sort of test from that particular factory. Is that accurate? They went ahead and sent me a few more pumps and they have a similar markings but just want verify. Also, is this the normal way to ship a pump?

This came from an authorized Walbro/TI vendor? China knocking this stuff off too.

Unfortunately I know of no way to figure out if it is real. Walbro, best as I can tell, is using major distributors to then move product to retailers. No where on their web site can I find a way to determine who is actually a legit end-point seller. This is a travesty for Walbro/TI because their stuff is being cranked out as China fakes like the plague. I don't know how legit JDT Racing is - aside from the templatemonster facebook link, one blog post of a junkbox on an open trailer, and lots of fancy pictures. It's not Summit Racing, that's for sure.

12,500 and you are the first guy with an issue, eh? How does it feel to be a statistical anomaly? Doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. I doubt the markings on the pump are so hard to reprint, but that's not my line of work. I hope everything works out well. I'm getting more paranoid as time goes, because I'm seeing more and more replica crap being shoveled by lots of folks making a buck. Amazon is at the top of that list. It's downright theft, at a minimum.

Totally agree about the counterfeit products, especially from amazon. I believe the pump is real so the only part I am unhappy about is how it was shipped. Would love to hear how @IQraceworks pump was shipped.

Received my parts from PFS today as well. As expected, their shipping practices were top notch. Looking forward to getting the pump installed in the bucket and into my car.

Thanks for the responses. I had a window open up to work on the pump so I went for it. Love the PFS kit. It is a diy kit so some fiddling was required and expected, but I will tell you Chris from PFS was always an email away, and he usually responded immediately. Even when I was working on the car at 10pm! Honestly the best customer service I have received from an aftermarket car company.

No issues from the pump. I was a little concerned since I got the tank down to 5 miles on the idrive, but she started right up. This pump doesn’t have a check valve which supposedly delays startup to allow oil to circulate I believe, but I do not notice it.

Let me know if you have any questions on this particular kit, would be glad to share.

Here are some pictures of the pump and how it sits in the tank with the fuel line connected.

Wanted to also mention Chris at Boost Concepts. He can build you a lpfp upgrade using the 295/535 pump. Great customer service and fast shipping as well. Just got mine from him earlier this week.

the pump I removed was a boost concepts 450. Not one issue with it.
