Question:

I currently intend to run this Flex Fuel option, but I also do not have easy access to E85 as its about 15 minutes away from my house(lazy). I'll be running ACN91 probasbly 80% of the time and to maintain modest timing advance and boost profile and to combat the Arizona heat, I'll be running a little bit of methanol between E85 fill ups.

So with that said, how does this Flex Fuel work with my HSF-4? If I'm running pump gas with the Flex Fuel scalar etc, I'd assume my car would run like it was on regular pump. But what happens when I've got E85 in the tank, do I need to make some changes to the way the HSF-4 is setup or will it still work just fine?

When running the ethanol sensor and ECA it'll adjust your tune accordingly. You may want to do a Meth tune for your pump gas tune and E85 as normal. When running lower than user defined ethanol you can just turn your meth on.

We were very close to being sold out on our first batch so when we ordered a second batch the Manufacturer held shipping to send them all at once. I didnt find this out until to late but i do have the first batch being expedited So it should be less than a week delay

Damn it, need this ASAP. Time to tune before No Fly Zone in Arizona will be rushed!

Tell me about it.

Can we find custom mhd flashes besides the pro tune?

You could probably have someone try, but you want, whether you know it or not, MOTIV's proprietary PID tuning. You want the guys who made the hardware to do the tune.

The proof of it's effectiveness is out there. I seem to recall Chris posted info on it. In my opinion they haven't done a good enough job selling it, lol.

As Joe said, anyone can tune it, but we do have the most experience with it and between Jake and I spending a whole day on the dyno with several cars perfecting all aspects of tuning i think anyone will be happy with what we have to offer.

Lol Joe, honestly we haven't had time to promote it. I wasn't expecting to sell 50 of them right off the bat. Now i'm just going to let the customers do the talking.

Last weekend my car ticked over 700 miles with the boost box (it's been on for a hot minute) - I still have yet to experience a single miss or relevant code. The *only* time I drive the car is to beat on it, so it's not putzing around surface streets.

Boost Box FTW.

On my third revision this evening. Found an issue I was having (plugs) and now boostbox mania has begun.

Up to 20psi on the cams/boostbox so far... Man does this car sound good!

I agree they should really push it harder, it's a great step forward for the platform! I wonder if they're just a little overwhelmed with tunes for those buying it though. I don't know what's going to be so special about the PID, would it not be similar to any other MAC solenoid PID? Of course a complete rewrite to the factory scheme, however. I haven't really looked into it, but it's just a matter of time really, the box itself is the major winner. Looks like motiv has it humming along nicely which is very inspiring!

What plugs did you put in?

95770 gapped to .015

Somehow, unknown to neither myself or Rob, GTR plugs with stock gap .040 ended up in there. Explains all sorts of problems I was having... lol. I think Jake recommended them to Rob but never specified gap.

If I'm not mistaken it allows them to control boost under wastegate spring, which is huge for safety. I don't know to what extent they'll be implementing it but there are a lot of upsides. @CKI@Motiv selling the PID tuning versus the boostbox is really what I was going for earlier. I saw a couple posts on it but it didn't really go into detail on the benefits and what it really means for those of us out here who aren't familiar with how PID worked before, now or on stacked implementations like Jb4.
