Now that both ignition system upgraded have released it will be nice to gather and discuss all of the information possible. For example Plugs, gap, dwell, fuel, psi everyone is running and what has improved after ignition upgrade. I myself will be running PR Coils, PS2 High Flow @30psi with NGK 93026 .026 gap, Full E85, MHD Tuned on stock tables until MHD option it's released. There are a lot of people wondering what to do once these ignitions upgrades are installed, and this might help a lot of them out there. I will update my experience as I test, so far idle it's greatly improved.
Post up setup and experiences.

I'm curious to know just how big a gap can be ran, also would like to know more about the dwell tables, etc.

I'm ST 6466 with PR coils. NGK .028 and no misfires @ 24psi, 91oct, w/MHD and Wedge tune. I had frequent misfires on cylinders 1,3 until the PR coils went in. I have noticeable improvement in throttle response as well. No other things to mention yet, but it's nice to be able to drive like I stole it again. Now, where's that damn PD transmission I ordered......

I bet you will get it soon! Mine has been holding fine @30psi with XHP 1.1

Running 97506s with a.025" gap on Pure stage 2s, 30psi. Full e85, MHD tune with a Twisted Tuning backend flash. Just got updated dwell tables from @Twisted Tuning yesterday. Loading up tomorrow.

That's great, would be good to know the advantages or compare logs after table changes. I'm going to log before and after to see as well. Thanks for sharing!

Larger gaps have always been the best route for performance and drivability. Let me rephrase that......

On any setup, ideally you want to run the largest gap possible for the respective setup to where spark blow-out (spark not able to jump the gap) does not occur. Larger gaps promote larger flame fronts and better combustion. Infact tiny gaps also contribute heavily to misfires just as much as bad plug or coils. My other shop car (Mazda V6) runs .028-.030 gaps at 800whp with no ignition issues, Just for comparison.

I'm glad there is an ignition upgrade for these cars. i had some work gone into one for this platform myself. but decided to focus efforts elsewhere after some dialog between myself and the owner of PR. They came up with a good product that is a much needed product indeed.

So are these dwell table public info or is it secret sauce? I can only remember people asking or waiting for them or something.

Thanks Jake! Yeah the dwell info is public for the coils (for any I've tested really), the new tables just need to remain consistent in the official xdf. I found when multispark is enabled the dwell doesn't follow the main table, turning it off fixes that. More significantly, when testing other internal designs, one design drew more amperage (lower primary resistance), and I hadn't considered multispark leading to major issues with that design until Jake found these tables. That was fixed in the final coil, but disabling multispark still has lots of advantages other than getting dwell right, even for guys with OEM coils.

Safe to say you "tuners" have confirmed that this coil dwell vs. voltage table is active at WOT? Or is it maybe limited just like its equivalent in the VW/Audi ECUs? On that platform dwell vs. voltage is active only at idle and part throttle.

I know I can't say it is. So before I "tune" dwell timings I'm going to investigate whether the table is applicable at all.

Oh my... lmao Doug, you "turbo builder." The base dwell table will not work for you as-is, because you are missing the rest of the tables I found to make it work correctly (screenshot above).
