You don't have to remove the stock tank in order to remove the fuel pump, you do have to remove the exhaust and heat shield to get to the fuel pump though... I don't have any pictures of this though, because I just removed the whole tank in favor of the new Radium fuel cell in the trunk. ;)

Its getting closer!! I finally took the car for a drive today on waste gate spring only... The 14psi spring setup is pretty intense, I even had to double check the log just to make sure it was only 14psi ! :openmouth:

Here are some more pictures... Turbo kit completed w/turbo blanket, downpipe and dump heat wrapped, I got the exhaust modified and reinstalled, reconfigured the oil cooler, and I installed the new valve cover

Nasty! Loving this a lot, nice to see another modded Z. Currently in the market for a new turbo setup, and the ST kit was considered. Not certain if i want single or if it would be easier (for me) to retain an upgraded twin setup. Thank you for the insight and inspiration nonetheless - truly appreciate the input to the community.

Looking good!
Thanks!

I finally got it out on the road and took some logs of 3rd gear on Map 1 (safety map) with a 14psi WG spring setup...
I'll try and attach the logs, hopefully I can do this right and get someone to take a quick look at them before I try Map 2 :)

No A/C?
I think the E8x/9x A/C lines are ugly. If I can make the Z lines work, and they route out of sight ...

Why 14psi spring ... 3 port? ... I was going to go 8psi and 4 port; I feel that in a shit situation 8 is a safer number than higher, if HPFP fails, throws a belt, blows a charge pipe, etc.

Good eye! Yes I removed the whole A/C system from the car for a bunch of reasons. I hardly ever used it being a convertible, the lines were ugly, the condenser was beat up, the compressor was heavy, so the whole system saved some weight off the car... I was also having issues with shredding belts for some unknown reason when I had MMP turbos making around 675whp... Now I have a much shorter belt that wraps about 3/4 the way around the crank instead of less then 1/2 way around... and so far, I have yet to have anymore belt issues.

I just bought the 3 port because thats what Burger Tuning sells on their website for the JB4. As for the spring, its actually holding around 13psi on gate only and I picked it based off of what Terry recommended on N54tech forums if I want to eventually tune for more then 30psi ... But I doubt I'll ever go over 30psi, so I might try a 10psi spring instead.

5) With the MAC solenoid in theory the JB4 can control up to 4x the wastegate spring but in practice smaller twin scroll turbos tend to be closer to 2.5x the wastegate spring. We suggest going 40% of your desired maximum boost target. So for a 30psi maximum target around a 12psi spring. Going too high on the spring will sacrifice partial throttle boost control and smoothness. Going too low will prevent you from hitting higher boost targets at higher RPM"

Can you show me the included water pump bracket? What did you do to clear the pump?
Sorry, the only picture I have of it, is in the packaging on my workbench, and the label is covering most of it...
Its nothing more then a piece of black powder coated steel bar stock with two holes drilled at each end. It just moves the pump forward a little.
