MMP1k logs -- Boost leak?

I finally got the MMP1ks installed and have been trying to get some logs. It felt like slow spooling and I did get a 30ff code. Since then I replaced the Boost solenoids and took a look at the outlets, inlets, charge pine and all clamps are tight and Oring is in the charge pipe. The solenoids definitely improved the spool, but the logs look very slow. Anyone think they can help?

I haven’t checked that, but I will tomorrow. I didn’t make any changes to the blow off valve though. I’m using the same charge pipe and intercooler connection I had before

No, the inlets aren't pressurized. Having a leak in them just makes it a bitch to try and pressure test the whole system.

I would focus on the outlets to the throttlebody.

Are you still using your vacuum canisters? Have you replaced your vacuum lines with silicone? I'd definitely check all the vacuum hoses.

Looking at your after log, I'd say you have to have a boost leak. Even with 70% wgdc you're only hitting 12 psi at 4500 rpms.

I am still using vacuum containers. I also had already replaced all the vacuum line with the expensive silicone stuff on my original turbos without any leak. It’s hard to imagine there is a boost leak in the big piping because it is all so secure. Despite that I will get a smoke machine.

Now I am more concerned it is improperly adjusted turbo waste gates. I had a problem where one of the turbos, the wastegate flapper did not fully close the hole when I bought them and I had to send them back to get fixed. I will get a vacuum gauge and test the wastegates.

I never understood why the BMW crowd plays these guessing games when it comes to finding a boost leak. The DSM/Evo community has been pressurizing the intake system for 3 decades and you SEE the boost leak. No guesswork involved. Pressurize the intake and find your boost leak.

I imagine because the engine bay is extremely tight. Especially with passenger side inlets.

Mmp stage 3. Target boost 31psi it would sometimes hit target momentarily with wgdc maxed out, and fade down. Also i had high iat. The tuner noticed the high wgdc. I completely overlooked it. Turbos usually make boost past 3800 rpm

I capped one of my inlets and put a gauge and valve on the other to find my boost leak. Luckily I found it at around 5psi because I doubt I have the inlets tight enough to hold 20+ psi since they don't see boost .

For fog machine i just pushed it against the filter opening and it smoked out of the leak within a few seconds. $30 on amazon. Ive since installed psp outlets. (Evo community is a lot slower .so they have more time for testing procedures lmao!)

I ordered a fog machine just now. Do you have a good log of your car so I can compare and see what to work towards?
