But I had a bimmergeeks adaptor. Had I known I could use it I wouldn’t have bought MHD wifi

Ok, I deleted the app and reinstalled it again. That seemed to do the trick. Also I’ve deleted 6Gb of stored monitoring data! Didn’t know that the monitoring function will use storage space on the phone (without making logs I mean).

I just received my F series wifi adapter and the WiFi network is WPA protected.

Is there an out of the box password? I've tried all of the basic passwords with no luck.

It's on the sticker that's stuck to the adapter.

Ugh mine doesn't have a sticker attached, hoping the box is still in my trash and it peeled off.🤞
That's not good. If you don't have it message again and I'll get you my password on my adapter when I get home. I believe they're universal and it was something like: MHD_ENET

Disregard - my brother opened the adapter for me he says the sticker was peeling off so he stuck it to the box which was in the recycling (was wondering why the adapter was sticky, that dumbass)... He just sent it over -- MHD_ENET for anyone else needing it.

Glad you got it solved! I knew it was MHD_Enet and the SSID was MHD_XXXX (X based on your adapter).

Just got my black adapter but can’t get it connect to my android. I keep getting the error “fail to obtain IP address”. I tried on Both my galaxy s8 and amazon fire 8.

I did some google and it says to change WiFi setting to static IP which I did. I was able to connect my android devices to the mhd adapter.
but My flasher app still doesn’t recognize it and keeps telling me “no cable or WiFi detected”

I tried uninstall and reinstall the flasher app still doesn’t work.

Does anyone have any experience with this? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32834895531.html

It has an on/off switch so perhaps it won't drain the battery once you are done using it.

yes. I tried one of these and while the WiFi network appeared and I could connect to it mhd wouldn’t recognize the interface and wouldn’t work. Bimmergeeks cable would work just fine with it btw. As soon as I connected the adapter directly to the obd2 port mhd started working. So I don’t know if my exemplar is bad or what but in my case it didn’t work with the adapter even though bimmergeeks cable did work through it just fine as mentioned.

I've been running v2.x lately and while it looks nice, it's sluggish and there are gaps in the logs (ranges from 400-800 rpm gaps). Tried 4 devices and all the same; using the orange wifi device (E-series app). Anyone else experiencing drops in their logs? Also, anyway to install and use the older v1.8?

I don't use the OTS maps. When I installed a v1.8 APK I found, it doesn't tie back to google for licenses.
