It seems there is still hope for the N54 platform when it comes to antilag features using the stock DME as MHD has apparently teased the functionality in their April fools video:

For those who can't see it, I've included a screenshot below which shows @bahn's 335i generating 17 pounds of boost at 7k RPM with a Precision 6266. I've been told a rolling antilag will be available as well which is very promising. The post is dated Q2 of 2022, so if we consider that calendar year and not fiscal year, the end of the quarter would be June 30. I will leave the year out because that may be a little too precise :)

And while we're at it, here is a tribute to supra noise guy who they featured in the clip:

i wonder if it will be a controlled anti lag. Like with adjustable Rev Limit and Boost Limit. As of the short vid i don´t see it.

Hey guys, the end part of the vid was in fact NOT an April fool's joke. Standing / rolling antilag is coming during Q2 of this year. It is fully configurable (tables for boost target, lambda target, timing retard, temp based safeties, configurable start delay / cool down, etc). You can check out our MEVD implementation for specifics.

Sick, will this be able to be setup for stock and twin turbo applications. And auto transmissions?
Great news either way

This is what I'm talking about, taking pokes and digs stating useless info like this makes vendors avoid the n54 platform, people like this think their info is relevant except it hurts this platform.

It makes it real hard for them to get motivated as they don't get appreciated for the hard work they do.

Thank you @Jake@MHD for still supporting this platform, I thought it was a April fools joke as I t was posted on the 1st

Yea the "goal" was to leave it a bit up in the air like is it real, is it a joke? It seemed quite effective at that haha. But yea, some cool stuff in the works now back on MSD8x. You guys are gonna love it.

It is in fact to motivate them. They are years behind and a LOT of stuff was promised to be released YEARS ago.

Priorities change and the need to add certain features to other platforms to remain competitive took precedence for a bit. MSD8x is not entitled to endless development, either. No features X, Y, and Z are "owed" in the future.

Comparing JB4 antilag to a proper flash implementation is gold 😂

Isn't the JB4 antilag just a button that forces the IAT reading down to minimum to force huge negative timing using the IAT safety table?

Thanks for the tag, haven't been on the forum in a bit so my apologies. This test was obviously standstill, AL was activated at ~4300 rpm and built 18 psi in 0.72 seconds. It's a Gen 2 BB 6266 on a JPdoesntWorkz manifold. As Jake said, N54 goodies inbound soon!

YES!!!!! So excited for this. Glad this platform is still considered relevant and there are still improvements being made. Very excited to save my brakes and use a legit rolling anti-lag.

Any hope some of these features will get put on early e series n55 as well?

It will work properly and work with the DCT. RK Tunes S55 w/ DCT set the 1/4mi record using basically the same code / implementation as I have ported to N54
Jake, you are my hero/savior/idol and an absolute wizard at what you do! You just made a man who's been laying in the hospital and had two surgeries since February 2nd very happy! 😁👍 You rock bro!
