I've been looking to get people's opinions on whether you all are going to switch over your WGDC tune to the new base tables added in MHD+. Has anyone tried them out yet? Obviously there's a huge upside for those with aftermarket turbos, but anyone with stockers using them yet? I have the original WGDC base table dialed in fairly well, any reason to switch?
Id give it a go

3.0x before 3.09 had some bugs where throttle would not close like it should when using the 3D boost ceiling tables. That is now resolved. You will want to set both boost target modifier tables to 1.0 if using the custom 3D boost ceiling.
Any other tables related to boost target that should be adjusted for the new tables?

Just a quick question about the MHD+ xdf, for now, I just want to activate the map switching to add burble in slot #2 (like slot #1 base map, slot #2 base map + burbles)

I then directly opened my current BIN with the MHD+ xdf, I checked all tables seems to be ok WGDC, Fuel, Ignition, except for load, where the XDF only have "Load target per gear" and is all set to 0.00 cause I am not using load per gear thing in my BIN.

I used the legacy XDF to make it, so I used the simple "Load target" table for my load target. Is the "Load targert per gear" mandatory for using the map switching feature ?
It looks like to be the only table that need to be adjusted compared to a legacy BIN?

Thanks for your help :)

Yes MHD+ only looks at the boost by gear now.
Thanks, I ran the difference tool with my bin compared to the I8A0S_MapSwitchBase.bin and if I am not wrong, it seems that for I8A0S, beside populating tables in MHD+ Suite like "Map Switch - Slot #", the only table on the base I have to update is the "Load target per gear".

I have no access to my car right now, so I can't plug MHD to check, but do we still have access to classic flash options when using the multi map flashing ? (Just to know if I can still use the 1M throttle slider, shift bog & cold start delete or if I have to tune them directly in my .bin)

I seen a screenshot of the multi map flashing screen that confuses me, we can also use multi map on MHD OTS ? with a power slider & different fuel variant? Is there a power slider too when using a custom MHD+ map?

Those flash options still work fine either Custom or OTS. Multimap options for OTS isn't implemented yet, but i would imagine it would override any custom multimap options if selected.

Thanks ! Ok, sorry then, OTS multimap update isn't out yet, the OTS screenshot I've seen must be N55 or something else than N54 šŸ™ƒ

Is the below correct then ?

- With a custom multimap BIN : We can still use "Options" button on the "Map write" screen and set 1M throttle, cold start delete and so on (and of course those settings will be applied on the four slots).
The only option that I see it could mess is burbles, since it exists in slots too. If I check burbles in "Options" with a duration and agressivness , the base burble tables, and the burble tables of slots #2 #3 #4 will be overrided & ignored then ?

I just converted my FF map to MHD+. Seems like cold start is now back on FF enabled maps. I actually prefer it that way, although I know some others hate it.

It was pretty easy to convert over, but do have 2F3A - No Coding as a code. I am in the US on IJE0S. Not sure if anyone has figured out how to fix that.

That error comes up when your DME takes a step back in software versions. You should copy the changes from the mapswitch bin into your own bin and not directly flash the mapswitch base.

You can get rid of that code by clearing it with MHD but it sometimes takes a few power cycles.

Ugh, you are right. I just used the prefilled bin as my starting point. I see a lot of copy/pasting in my future to address. :( So many tables to move.

I don't believe a random ebay cable can do a map change flash in 55sec. I'd need to see a video of it being done first. Even cables with the updated firmware struggle to get flash times below 1:10.

Update. It's not related to otg adapter.

there are few factors that affect write speed as far as i know, pre 07/09 cars write through kcan and its a few minutes slower than dcan

cable firmware makes a huge difference. i have a bimmergeeks cable, a modded ebay cable, a stock ebay cable
the modded ebay cable is comparative to the bimmergeeks cable (17ish-18 mins for a full write iirc), stock ebay cable takes 28ish mins

Hi everyone I think I have managed to copy most across from my old tune to the mhd+ xdf and map switch bin. manually filled in tables and then read about the difference tool, tried that unsure if it made any difference but did it incase.
the only areas I'm unsure what way I should fill in are the new WGDC tables (custom etc.) and Min Load Threshold for P/D Factors.
maybe there is others here with some sort of base numbers that have worked for them and willing to share?
im on 17T turbos btw.

super keen to have a second map with lower boost levels and maybe one with more aggressive burble settings, and learn some more :)

After playing around with the new tables iv gone back to standard wastegate control while using the custom boost control. Set load target higher and use the new boost target table. I'm sure the wastegate feature works well just wasent worth the trouble for me. Have been using map switching with slight adjustment to boost target but more with fueling and timing to create more conservative output.

I ended up setting my bin the same as you mention haven't loaded it on yet and tested but will do that today. Thanks for the reply šŸ¤—

Are there specific DMTL codes that need to be manually disabled on the MHD+ hardwired (pin 16 removed and replaced with input from the ECA) flash. I got 2B3B right after flashing MHD+ and disabled it (pretty sure on the timing of the appearance of the code). No codes for probably 2 weeks, then started getting 2B3D that would return somewhat immediately after clearing. I just replaced the DMTL pump and now am questioning if the pump was bad, if I should have disabled 2B3B, if I should have just disabled 2B3D and not replaced the pump, or something else.

Edit - my DMTL pump was bad. I replaced it and none of the codes came back. I guess there is something baked into the flash to account for the DMTL pin being removed.
