This started as a way to get myself an LSD, but it appears the only way to get a deep discount is by becoming a dealer and sending several orders to them. So I'm approved as a dealer and am essentially doing a few of you a favor. Once this is done, I have no desire to continue.

None of my credit card processing accounts are related to automotive parts resale, so you'll be responsible for transferring the funds to my Chase business account in some way, I will not accept paypal due to all the scammers. I am the owner of this site and can be trusted. If this makes you uncomfortable, I understand and urge you order directly from Synchrotech, perhaps during a Black Friday sale.

Please use this chart to determine your fitment. If your car is not listed here, please contact Synchrotech using the website listed below and verify yourself. You are responsible for ordering the correct parts, there are no refunds or returns outside of the Synchrotech warranty and all warranty claims will be handled by Synchrotech. If you buy the wrong differential, then sell it private party and order a new one. I'm not getting paid to do customer service and I am not Walmart.

There are two main types of differentials, Welded and Bolted:
(Please note, group buy pricing has ended, pricing in chart below is updated. PM me if you would like to order one)
TypePrice Core Subtotal
Bolted$1299$500 $1799
Welded$1699$500 $2199
LSD Only $849 $0 $849
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
Then you must pay to ship the differential to you, my quote from Synchrotech is $130 and that is from Cali to AZ via UPS.

The built pumpkins will have the backlash and wear pattern as well as the preload set by Synchrotech. Not that this is an issue I've encountered, but for warranty purposes I personally recommend going the built pumpkin route as there can be no disputing assembly error when they do the work themselves. Your bearings will be inspected and re-used, they are likely in good condition. If not, or if you'd prefer to have new bearings installed anyway, they cost $149 for the small housing and $225 for the large housing.

The difference in price between the bolted and welded differentials is due to the machining required to free the welded ring gear so the LSD may be inserted. The core charge is $500 in all cases involving a built pumpkin. You must supply the same type of differential core as you receive, including gearing and it must be in acceptable condition.

Currently, we will not field international orders nor gear ratio changes.

Reply to this thread if interested, and I will open a dialog with you. State if you are a bolted or welded and if you are automatic(3.46), manual(3.08) or DCT(2.56). Please specify if you only want the LSD unit.

When returning your core, it is imperative that you write your name, phone number and "SpoolStreet" on a tag with the differential. Failure to do so may result in delays returning your core charge. The core return window is 30 days. Please do not send any cores prior to receiving the okay from me. The shipment address is:

Want to clarify, this is for a built pumpkin, and post receipt/install return of stock diff. Assuming so given the core charge.

Are Synchrotech willing to increase the discount if enough people sign up?

You can buy the lsd without pumpkin build if desired.

If you want the pumpkin, you will need to pay a core fee unless you are willing to be down for a few weeks. In my experience with a bolted diff, they sent it back in like a week but I also provided them a core up front.

another Q: what's the core return window?

I wouldn't think there is one as i'm pretty sure they would prefer to hang onto your $500, because you can go out and buy a diff for just a couple hundred these days. I will contact Synchrotech and see if they have a window.

To me, the existence of a window means that beyond a certain time you become ineligible to return your core to get your money back, and if there is no window it means you can return it any time, even months later.

If that's the case then the higher-than-market price for the core charge would tend to cause the vendor to have a window so that they can keep the core charge when it closes.

The other end if the spectrum would be if there were no core charge involved because the diff is only installed in your existing housing. I guess that could be another example of "no window."

It seems like with hybrid turbos the window thing is used to obtain cores to build inventory and the buyer is somewhat penalized if they don't return them in a timely manner and the vendor has to spend time sourcing them. Or, it could be used by vendors to extract more profit from customers that can't get their cores back quickly.
