What’s goodie everyone.. ima keep it short and sweet.. I dont know what’s going on with Mfactory and I’m wondering if anyone else had/has this issue. I have a fully built 335i n54 manual swap. I’m running a higher than stock compression with a GTW3884R
Anyway first time I blew the dif I was doing a first to second gear pull.. “I’m not one to launch my car…” and the dif went boom!! Ima try attach some pics.. sent it off to Mfactory and they covered it under warranty cause they said a bolt backed out and caused all the madness.. I mean all teeth came off the crown gear. Got the next dif back filled it with oil they recommended and went for a drive.. drove the car on god two days.. and about 100 miles.. did a quick roll into it pull from first to second again and boom my glass diff broke again…. Anyone else had this issue?
I have stock axels and stock manual driveshaft….

May as well call it Chinese reject factory than m factory. I've seen more broken m factory parts than oem parts

A while back I sold like 20 or 30 of these as a community service and I think there was problems with 1 or 2 of them, can't recall what the problems where though. Mine still works great, but probably no more than 5-10k miles on it?

I’m just surprised as to how easy it broke… it’s not like I’m launching the car on a prep surface. I’m not making that much torque in first gear. So it’s like this thing is dead made of glass.

Well they don’t speak directly to me. I tried to contact them. You only get to the shop that does the work for them (synchrotech) out In LA. You send the diff they disassemble it and decide if they wana cover it under warranty or not. I will say Synchrotech is very professional. They are the ones in direct contact with Mfactory.

That is where I got mine from...San Dimas area. It has held up so far.
I did break an Mfactory axle though on a 3rd gear pull. Not even a dig launch.

I woulda gone DSS but fuck their core sh1t policy and not answering phones🙄
Also youtube some of their stuff. Diveshafts not balanced, axles, etc....can't trust anyone to make a quality part these days ....
Yeah its really sad but they will charge you like its quality and supposed to last. And then blame the end user somehow typically

So a 8.8 is the only true fix.........
Thats what I'd say is the put in in and forget about it fix. I knew a few locals with m factory diffs they seemed to work out ok. Seems like the quality control may not be up to par
