What i don´t get is the PCV system- there is not option to connect the flapper valve, right? That means there is no control of the amount of vacuum from the low side PCV system.... Don´t think that will work good, because the ocrifice in the vent hose is designed this way from BMW for keeping the level of vacuum inside the engine in the desired levels.

I had the same thoughts on all other VC´s- maybe someone can chime in.. Because i think it´s really important that the engine has the right amount of vacuum inside the crankcase during low load! High load can be VTA..

@frontside0815 seems like other valve covers (e.g. billet) would fall under your set of questions. Since some feedback could come from vendors, and this thread is really a promo for a specific vendor, can I suggest you maybe start a separate thread in N54 and this can get discussed there?

It looks like the low and high side could possibly be interchangeable. Are the screws captive?

I think this was just a general statement that more valve cover options the better, referring to the product as a whole.
probably was... my bad

Is the listed price in OP the “release” price, or standard MSRP? Thanks.
Its a release price

I ment a new valve cover option.

Theres 2 other companies i know of with a valve cover, good to see another company making one.
Thanks !!! Sorry for miss understanding

Going aftermarket valve cover you bypassing your stock pcv system completely Including flapper valve. Note stock pcv does not eliminate oil entering intake system especially moded n54 its there for emissions . There is few option you can go with eliminating oil and fuel water mist going back in to your engine . 1 running aftermarket pvc catch can system which is very simple design just a one way valve and oil trapping system . 2. Venting to atmosphere.

Running one way valve on valve cover and running a hose back in to your intake manifolds . Its more like keeping your “emissions “ same way catch can works instead dumping waste in to your engine you trap it. Then drain it and dumping in trash can that is the point of the emissions

Fmorelli is right this should be discussed on another thread to suite individual needs.

I think these guys have also been working on a HPFP solution. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they've been running a hybrid dual HPFP for years, and are working on a more powerful single HPFP solution.

Just not there yet we dont want to offer something that is not bullet proof and concrete data.

Do aftermarket valve covers such as this unit reduce the probability of valve cover gasket failures?
It will allow to have it more tighter and hold much better over stock. But if you are talking about intake ports I dont think its going to be good idea running 30+ pounds of boost for long time without blocking intake ports. Its just like intake manifold gasket has chance to fail but intake ports can be eliminated.

You are correct, @m18performance designed adapters awhile back for attaching the N54 stock HPFP to the rear of an N55 cam style HPFP/Vacuum housing. @jyamona, @NoQuarter and I have been working on the DME/Controller side for a bit now. Development boards have been manufactured and we are in the testing phase now.

What will the post release price be?

Also, the low side orifice is sized to meter the vacuum by BMW and people have seen I’ll effects removing it and then still having a captive low side. So, I would also like to see a new thread to discuss this.

I would imagine with this VC if you really wanted to keep a stock style PCV you could. You'd be running a -10 to barb fitting or similar and then just run your flapper and PCV valve in-line. The flapper might not look the prettiest sitting in the middle of a line, but I'm sure you could either tuck it behind the engine somewhere or put it towards the end of the hose.

My main question regarding the PCV system was whether or not we could take the easy route and run one of each fitting like pictures, but that was answered in another post from @m18performance when they said that its bypassing the entire stock style PCV system for two-10 outlets - i.e. no, we'll have to be more creative than just using a straight breather and the Radium pcv valve if we want low/high side separation but that's easy enough imo.

On the factory valve cover, the PCV exits are at the rear side of the cover. These being on the top, is there enough room to clear a factory top cover if one desires to run that?
