Hi guys,

It has come to our attention that a shop is doing this kind of install.

Over the years, we have gotten the question, "Can I just Install my stage 1 with my stage 2?" Our answer had always been, NO.

Why?
- You will draw too much current & risk blowing your EKP
- This is a restriction, not a benefit
- The 255 is a lower capacity pump, you don't install a lower capacity pump inline with a higher flowing pump.

*Consequently, warranties on any Fuel-It LPFP installed in this manner will be void*

Thanks,

Fuel-It!

So, someone just wanting to save money or what?
To be totally honest I am not sure.

For some reason the mindset "2 must be better than one" probably came into play.

Some additional things to note:

1. Installing a Walbro 255 inline with a 450 pump is a restriction and does not provide greater flows.

2. Rubber lines submerged in E85 is a known failure just waiting to happen.

3. The stock line has now been modified and ruined. Note how they cut the stock line and now there is only corrugated hose exposed? Also not the hose clamp securing the corrugated use to 1 barb on the barbed fitting?

4. A Walbro 450 pump is capable of pulling 20 amps...wiring another pump in parallel to it that is capable of pull 15amps is a really bad idea!

Yea.. Whoever thought of this was too knowledgeable about the fuel system.

"Oh.. well how about we just swap the 255 with a 450!!!, That's gonna fix every bit of fueling issues I have!"
"What about the rest of whats going on around it, bro?"
"DUCT TAPE AND TRACTOR SUPPLY IS A THING!"
