I noticed this car and spoke to @Lifestyler about some of the details and was really impressed with what I saw. Like many auto enthusiasts, he has little or no time to do things such as a build thread so I thought I'd step in and do some of the busy work for him as this is truly a very interesting car that deserves some attention.

I am the type of person who really appreciates both custom work and people who make cars their own, rather than slapping off the shelf parts onto their car which anyone with money can do. A lot goes unsaid about the time and money spent(See: Wasted) test fitting and experimenting with different options that have never been tried before when doing custom work. On to the details:

Tune by PureBoost
Everything custom is done by @Lifestyler himself(wow!)
CP Pistons
Pauter rods
ARP headstuds
Head Work (intake side)
3.5" exhaust
VRSF 7.5"
Aquamist meth (cooling)
Stg3 custom LPFP
Motiv PI
KW Clubsport coilovers
Toyo R888 (r)
Apex Arc8
Carbon Trunk
Recarco poles
Heigo rollcage
ACF manifold (modified)
6466 Gen2 BB
Recirculated WGs
Custom 3" CP
Synapse BOV
E46 M3 CSL Rotors Front (custom brackets)
Ferodo DS3000 Brake Pads
Wavetrac Diff

One of the specific touches I liked is the custom/modified stock exhaust which retains a switchable take on the dual mode functionality. It is a 3.5" all the way back, and this even includes port matching of the factory manifold pipe diameter. The exhaust valve is toggled using a steering wheel switch:

The other thing I found unique to our platform and interesting was the thermal shielding used on the turbo and manifold. This seems like the fancier version of the wrap/blanket combo without the fire concerns or unsightly appearance.

More to come for sure and hopefully we can get some more info as things progress!

That heat shielding is no joke

I don't remember the name of the co. but they can make that dimpled aluminum shielding for any application when sent to them. Awesome build.

Thanks for the post. Great build and gets my creative side rearing lol

Can't wait for him to get on here. I'm sure there is a lot more to talk about than the summary ;)

I want to know more about that heat shielding. Nice!

And I assume the sticker means we will be seeing it on youtube soon...

I think it is similar to this: http://headershield.com/

He told me what it cost, it was not cheap but I'll defer that to him.

I've seen a pic of the header and was told it is not inconel. Looks super sick though. I'm curious to know more about it though since it needs an air gap and/or ceramic fiber to really create any sort of real thermal barrier.

I saw the quality fab work and figured - didn't realize you were stateside!

Very, very nice build dude.

When I say saw this car and spoke to the owner, I meant online. If that was causing any confusion.
