Hi everyone. Today had strange thing happening with rail pressure. Keeps rising up to 2300ish psi and injectors start ticking like crazy at Idle. No cel codes. Car runs fine. Adaptions reset. No changes.

Are you running a helix by chance? This happens on mine and I believe causes the rattle - it calms down once the coolant temp is something like 60 degrees.

If you are talking about cycling up to 2200psi then back to normal then back up again AND you have a Helix, it is a tuning issue. I did a bunch of testing and posted results in the VCV table thread.

Do you have any codes disabled other than the norm? Is your cooling fan running full blast? Try logging fuel mode that may point you in the right direction.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but did you find out the issue here? My car seems to do the same thing. It will idle fine then the rail pressure jumps to 2200psi and start making a metallic ticking sound. If I blip the throttle the rail pressure goes back to normal and the ticking goes away.

Here is a data log when the rail pressure is high at idle. then you can see I blip the throttle and the pressure drops back to normal and then the ticking noise goes away.

old thread but if anyone wonders, its just a fuel mode(injector adaptation), it runs the hpfp at higher pressure for injection adaptation.
Should only last a few minutes, and doesnt happen often. Not very noticeable if you have the beauty cover and stock cowl.

You can check with mhd monitoring, with the fuel mode value, normal is 2 and injector adaptation is 10 if i remeber correctly.
