Alto has nothing in terms of upgrades for the 8HP45, unfortunately. Nobody does. The smallest batch they'll do is 10,000 units. I know from working with them in the past.

There's a fella who bolted up a diesel 8HP70, though, to an 8HP45 car. The six cylinder diesel cars use the same bell housing to engine bolt pattern at the N55, apparently. The valve bodies are identical between the 8HP series, but that's about it. None of the clutches and internals interchange with the HP45X, HP55, HP70 or HP90.

Well damn lol.

Looks like I'll be manual swapping it. I just really want to keep it xdrive. I suppose I could do the awd diesel trans and my transfer case will still bolt on. I wonder what trans the x5 runs. I'll check in on it. I did find a Chrysler company building hp90s for hellcats. Planned on reaching out to them also.

I appreciate the info. I found a core block. So think I'll be picking that up and getting it prepped for scanning.

Any chance you have info or can find the post behind this? Not aiming as high as Johnathan but would feel more comfortable with the 70 behind an n55 vs a 45.
