So since my E90 is no longer a daily driver, it has been and will be running full E85 for pretty much forever. I am running a Helix 3x and have been running it since it pretty much came out with no faults. 30 psi peak tapering to 25 psi at 7500 holding 3000+ psi.

The problem with this is that the supplied fuel line is a regular hydraulic hose that is not rated for ethanol and will eventually crack and leak extremely high pressure fuel 🤦‍♂️. Another forum member already had to warranty out his line because of that...

Does anyone know of an alternative hose I can make? I tried emailing PFS to see if they would sell their rail and line but no response.

Did you find a solution? My hose just got a pinhole leak and I am trying to find an alternative.

@KClemente if you have a Hydraulic Supply Co near you, they can make one of the hoses and they use proper fuel/e85 rated hose. I didn't get one the other day as I was hopeful that Spool would warranty mine, but they said they wanted $100. Why pay the same for one that isn't using incorrect hose?

For now I plan to remove the helix while my buddy and I come up with a hard line solution, which I think will look much cleaner.

I brought it to one hydraulic shop so far and they told me they didn’t have anything suited for e85 or even gasoline at those pressures.

Spool warrantied mine but they may have started getting a sudden influx of those claims, causing them to want to charge for them….

I remember martymil saying that he gets the stock line welded

Please let me know if you find a solution

Spool told me their lines are rated for fuel :-/. Hansa-flex disputes that and says its only rated for mineral oil, glycol, and water.

They have a TF-206 that is rated for fuel, but only to 3500 psi working pressure. The burst pressure is 10,000PSi, but I think the HPFP with the helix can get to 3500psi at times so not the best.

Frustrating that Spool either doesn't know, or does know and is just BSing people. I like the Helix, but it's off until I get a proper solution done.

Hansa-flex did email me back saying it works with diesel, but not gasoline.

Not surprised we're seeing leaks in these hoses now. Spool should step up and use a proper hose.
