Sadly, the motor in my 135i let go. Seems to be a ring or ringland on cylinder #3. For the purpose of getting back on the road quickly, I'd like to buy a used motor to swap in.

I need this motor to be in known good-working condition.

Needs to fit my manual 2008 135i
Compression numbers and/or videos
Under 80k miles

I have a few local options for $2,000+, but I want to keep my core and ideally spend less than that.

Will pickup in Wisconsin, otherwise will need it shipped to commercial address in 54136 zip code.

Trying to be helpful not bash but.. Your gonna be real hard pressed to find something worthy of your engine bay for that kinda coin..
Have you considered rebuilding what your have? I know a fella on ebay was selling complete kits of rods, custom jewelry pistons and bearings for an affordable working class kinda guy

No offense taken - that's what I'm finding as well.

Do you have a link to that eBay package deal?

I actually looked right after the seller is monkey racing or something like that.. I did look and there is quite a drop in longblocks they seem to have gone down a bunch.. Don't know your situation but it just seems like the time to build a motor :)
