So im going from rb stg2 to a ST kit. Im going bottom mount. After reading a million threads i answered most of my questions. The ones im still confused about even after reading everything i could find on the subjects.
1. Jb4 w/ PI and BE flash
Or ebc, PI controller added to my existing meth controller and a tune.
2. Can i use my PI plate to run meth for now then switch to PI after e85 is more available to me( im moving in a year)
3. All the guys with s/s manifolds claim the cast manifolds crack. And all the cast manifold guys claim the s/s welds crack. Who do i believe?

BTW im waiting for a doc race bottom mount in march

And 1 more
Is it all worth it? I for one have had way to many oil leaks and crushed orings to want to keep running 8 lines in and out of my block to the turbos. Which is why im not going rb gf's The simplicity of a single is what appeals to me the most.
Thanks for any help. Im sick of reading old threads that mostly turn into arguments or quickly go off topic.

1- JB4/PI controller + MHD flash files posted on N54tech
2- Depends what PI plate, but I assume so if it has space for traditional injectors.
3- Both are fantastic, you don't have to worry if you're getting from a reputable company. My welded manifold has over 100k miles on it and is 8 years old, still running.

Yes, it's worth it.

1. Just ensure you have JB4's add-on for PI. https://burgertuning.com/products/jb4-port-injection-control-module
Do you have more specific questions about the BEF? As Payam said, the files are on n54tech which should be the first or second google result.
2. It really depends, meth nozzles and injectors aren't the same. Unless the manufacturer has run both, I'd assume not.
3. From my experience on other platforms, thin-walled hand-welded stainless steel exhaust components will crack over time especially if there are physical stressors (sloppy engine mounts + heavy unsupported turbo + long lever arm (turbo far away from block ala top mount) + no flex sections in exhaust + heat = cracks). That being said, many manufacturers do things right and you shouldn't see a SS manifold form a crack for many years -- likely longer than you'll own the car.

Ok thanks. Yes ive read all about the BEF's and everything on n54tech about the jb4. I just wasnt sure if that was the way to go over a boost,pi, meth controller with a custom tune. My 1st tune didnt go so well. I did get a nice smooth conservative 93 tune out of the deal so im not complaining but i just felt like i wasnt very important to the tuner. Grant it they are very busy but i was an afterthought and never got to the stuff i wanted to get to.

As far as the PI kit running meth. Sorry i should have mentioned i would get the meth nozzles first and then put in the injectors when i need them.
Thanks
