Hi, for a bottom mount turbo 6466, I was running a turboguard for a while until I realized how much dirt was getting inside. I switched to a turbo inlet with a filter in the bay.

My question, if I were to go a shorty style filter such as the Vibrant 10931, will I be restricting air flow to the turbo?

I use the short BMS filter, it works but definitely is a restriction.

I also use the BMS shorty as it is the only one that fits my top mount. I just keep it clean and have a spare.

Ideally you want the largest filter you can fit so that it becomes as least restrictive as possible, especially as it gets dirtier and dirtier and becomes more of a restriction over time.

Anything is better than a turbo guard. Only thing it is good for is making noise and killing turbos. FOD.

FOD = foreign object debris?
