E89 sdrive35i MOTIV flex fuel problems

Hello guys. I've been having trouble with the MOTIV flex fuel kit install. Followed all the instructions but when I connect the flex fuel module to the dme harness i lose conection to the throttle body and it gets stuck. Flashed the flex fuel tune with mhd and reseted throttle adaptation but the problem persists. I left the the kit installed with the module disconnected from the harness and the car runs absolutely fine. No codes, but I don't get live data from the lpfp (pressure stays at 0) but the car runs fine, gets boost, etc. Any tips?

Hi there, and welcome to Spoolstreet . One thing - the E89 implementation of the Z4 does not have an LPFP sensor. On the rest @jyamona may have a suggestion?

I see. Yeah read somewhere that the lpfp in the e89 was controlled in a different way.

Makes me wonder if you got a pin mixed up or the connectors are different on the E89?

Got an email from MOTIV and indeed, they told me I would have to repin some connections on the flex fuel module connector. It seems they differ for the n54 powered e89.

Do you have to change the wires or that connector? I was thinking instead you would use different wires on the subconnectors.

Having the same type of issue today installing on a 135i. I also lose my tmap as well as the throttle and accelerator pedal. Seems like the flex unit is shorting out the 5v reference from the dme. Do you remember what was changed by chance?
