Friend of mine is looking to upgrade his in tank pump on his 2008 n54 wagon and I want to show him what options he has. So far all I have dug up is Fuel-It! and Spool Performance.

Any others out there before I throw just two at him? And does anyone know if the 535i sedan and wagon share the same tank/pump? They list them as E60 compatible, but not specifically E61 or E6x, so i need to make sure of that as well.

Walbro 450, Dremel, drill, and some zip ties... Maybe an ebay bucket... I like to save money by diy, not to take anything away from those companies. But if you're handy with tools I'd give it a try. You can probably build 2 for the price one

535xi here. Installed the spool performance stage 2 LPFP. Not sure if the sedan is similar but the pump side (passenger) only has a connector (power) on the hat. The driver FPR/Fuel filter side only has the fuel feed connector on top. No core req. with spool.

I’m doing a m5 twin bucket retro, with dual 340 pumps. The e60 filter needs help tho, I’d like to get rid of it all together.

Any more info on this, why not go 450/55 and hobbs. The M5 bucket makes the most sense really as long as it all works with some retro fitting. There are a few youtube vids of a guy just doing a simple pump swap on his M5.
