Sorry, no install pics.
I bought install set sold by 55parts.de. This set is fully compatible with the manual seat. So my seat can now be moved forward and back like an oem seat. It is lower by few cms too.
The only thing that could be better is the headrest. I could use some "pillow", which should be available in stores with furniture for office chairs.
I must say the Pole Position is very comfortable, I spent 400km max in one day, so far. The feeling when driving the car makes driving the car whole new experience.

Removed the m4 comp seats in favour of the m2 comp seats which include lumber and seat heating, new seat logos will arrive in the next few days just in time for this years major import show at eastern creek raceway.

There is a guy on ebay that sells black vinyl overlays for that style. That style has a terrible tendency to have the silver crack and look awful. HIs overlays make it look like the newer M2/M3/M4 style but don't have the number, which is why I presume you are swapping them.

These are revised ones and don't crack which had a different part no and yeah seen the overlay, I'm switching them out because of the m2 badge but I like the silver.

They are not quite a straight swap they have different plugs and the silver one will need and extension harness made as it's not long enough, I'm not cutting up badges so will have to go through the catalog and order some new connectors and make some patch harnesses.

Installed the badges just waiting on the connectors so I can make the patch harnesses.

They look much better in silver and suit the interior better as seats have silver switches and
the rest of the car has silver through out it, it just looks right.

The black badges look nice but I'll refrain from the overlays as I think it would cheapen it.

Installed a few items in a customers 1m the other day

These really suit the car and have heating, he said he didn't need it till it got below 10deg c and changed his mind quickly.

New seats arrived for me to try out, will be making these fully plug and play and no coding.

Velo GP90 XXL.

The seat weight 8.4kg/18.5lbs or 13.1kg/28.8lbs with rails and sliders.

They look so bulky and out of place in there. I’d go with a bucket seats, and definitely fixed back. I don’t trust the reclining ones much unless from the factory or a very reputable brand

Interesting thread. I own an E93 LCI 335is so seat upgrades from Coupes wouldn't work with my car due to built-in seatbelts in the seat. I am interested in the F83 M4 seats, did they just wire in plug-and-play or would one need to swap out some electronics?

Bringing this back up.

I'm torn between my custom covered/reinforced bolster sport seats I had "remade" a few years ago and switching to pole positions for my E82.

If I did PP I would have them modified with heating and inflatable lumbar.

How is rear access with the PP on full sliders? Is there a slider that allows it to move forward enough to be able to get into the back? I've read about Brey Krause mounts for the factory sliders, how's this option? Obviously it won't tilt...

How would you go about doing that? OEM heating pads and lumbar bladders? I have bought some heated seat pads and modules to do exactly this, but haven't really thought about lumbar.

If you want rear access and buckets, Porsche GT ones are the dream but they are crazy pricey over here at least.

That was my plan yes on both fronts.

I'll have to take a look at Porsche GT seats. Whats their magic sauce?

They are a true bucket, yet foldable and can come with the creature comforts too depending on what car they were from and what options it had. Only downside is the price and then mounting them. I don't know, it may not be something that was available on US spec' Porsches? I know you didn't get the M4 GTS Pole Positions over there from the factory for example.

Example set (no affiliation): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116421382285

Probably foldable like the CS

Those are cool!

Sadly can't buy from the UK here in the US without our government stealing almost another 50% of the cost from us.

I'll have to see if something similar is available stateside.
