2007 E92 335i
Got a chance to dyno my 2007 E92 335i today after installing the VTT Shotgun Double Barrel last weekend. Made 634 whp and 609 ft-lbs. Had pretty major fuel pressure oscillations through the whole pull (similar to what's mentioned in another current thread) and some timing corrections toward the end of the run. Also had a cylinder 6 misfire right at the end of the second pull, so may need to adjust gaps or swap plugs now that I'm on full E85.

This is the first version of the E85 tune from Ken at Wedge, so I'm confident there's some opportunity for further optimization of the tune as well.

Overall I'm pleased. I've done every bit of mechanical work on this car myself so I was going to be pretty disappointed if it performed terribly, or worse, left parts on the dyno.

Drivetrain mods:
Wedge Tune via MHD
Pure Stage 2 DD Turbos
VTT Shotgun Double Barrel HPFP
Fuel It Stage 3 Bucketless LPFP
Precision Raceworks Coils w/ NGK 97506 @.022"
RB Turbo Silicone Inlets and Outlets (Factory Locations)
BMW DCI
VRSF 7" HD Intercooler
N54 Tuning DPs
ER Chargepipe w/ Turbosmart Diverter Valves
DIY Oil Cooler Retrofit
mFactory LSD
XHP Trans Flash

Sick powerband. Would love to see what they do on lower boost levels like 16-20psi.

That's a nice curve man, the car must be a blast to drive. Congrats on the numbers, impressive stuff with that double barrel!

Thanks, guys.

My 93 tune is around 21 psi and that actually seems like a sweet spot with the normal summer tires. It is a lot of fun to drive and the transmission will probably hold up better in that range too.

On E85 with 500ish ft-lbs at 3500 rpm it definitely feels quick, but has a little trouble keeping the tires hooked up in third. Nothing a set of 17” wheels and some drag radials can’t fix. It’s on 275/30R19 Pilot Sport 4S for daily driving now.

Awesome! I'm running the same gap on my NGKs with the PR coils. I'm also going to try gapping them down to about 0.018".

Did you dyno at 21psi on 93oct?

I did not. Maybe some time in the future.

Are you running the 97506 or the 95770?

Looking like pure turbos are the way to go

I’m happy with them so far. Very easy to deal with and the results have exceeded my expectations at this point. I struggled with whether to pick the DDs or the high flows, but I think the DDs have turned out to be a good match to my goal which was more about area under the torque curve than peak power.

Very nice. I actually got a custom tune from Ken as well and my hpfp fluctuation is much better. It stays between 2200-2700psi at wot.

So far only pushed to 26psi but I’ll be on a dyno next weekend at 28psi hopefully.

Thanks. I’ll talk to Ken and mention the adjustments made to your tune and see if mine need the same.

Did you ever go back for another dyno?
