Diy home swap DCT and new running video

Morning all, I am in the process of taking my power glide out of my street and strip car and changing over to a DCT. My inspiration is the e30 bmw in Sweden, truly incredible.

My issue I’m a little stuck on is do I in fact need the duel clutch fly wheel at all, or can I just couple the dct to the flex plate I have ?

Can I have the benefits of this and the down falls, IE; possible down falls, it’s a street and strip car so I’m not fussed on drivability comfort.

I think this entirely depends on what 'couple' would involve.

Hello mate,

It a 1965 XP falcon with a 2jz and a glide currently, Ive been wanting to ditch the converter for a while nd then learned about the potential of the mighty dct.

I have now got the coupler all made up from billet with the dct spline, I also have the template made for the adaptor plate and just need to have it cut from 12mm plate.

Wrong guess I’m afraid mate, I’m born and breed.

It’s coming on ok, should all be in the car within the month, coupling is now back and the adaptor is being cut, just the management to sort out. I know your thinking how the xp? I think 1 of 3 here lol

NO way ! Go the mighty falcon!
Now that i know its a 2j.... You probably already know ...Theres a shop in the UK that put this box in a supra with the help of a syvecs engine management system. I dont recall what they were called. Ill see if i can dig it up
