If you could explain what you mean here this is my last hurdle. What do you mean add *PM92? That's not a VO option and I'm confused by that.

I've gotten everything else other than the coding on this DSC to work.

Ok mate, got your vin.
So exactly like this.

1. Load ncs and in your vehicle order under either cas or nfrm you will see an entry for exactly "*KG13" IGNORE the quotes, include the star. Delete this entry and add "*PM92" in its place.

2. Code Only the VO to either cas or nfrm, no need to do both, just VO not the modules themself. In fact it best practice to only ever play in one so you always have the other for backup.

3. Close and reopen ncs through the same module you changed the vo with. Now you should see M3DSC in the list which you select and default code with. DO NOT code any other modules while connected with PM92 (which is euro e92 m3 spec) without thinking first. This will put the correct encoding data onto the m3 dsc unit and allow you to encode the szl and run dsc valves.

4. When done change you vo back to whay it was to avoid forgetting and accidentally coding the wrong data to the wrong module, it can happen.

Does that make sense at all ?

And please pm me last 7 of your vin and il tell you exactly what to change

Just to let everyone know I'm a blind man trying to find his way here. I appreciate all the help this community has provided. I am extremely appreciative of @aus335iguy, and @Bimaxtremeretro.

Most of what I have done here is piecing together different things that have already been documented and tried. I've not really done anything new (that I'm aware of).

Thank you sir!! I did see *KG13 before (I'm in the office now so I can't diddle with this). But when I look that up it isn't listed in the documented VO options for E9x series cars. What exactly is this *KG13 and *PM92?

The reason we do this is to build special cars like this right behind me.

Under the hood, the closest thing to an f1 engine we will ever see again, NA Close to 600 whp tuned, and 8k + high revolution engine with a noise to die for...

Best of all running on the best and computer possible, the one actually made for the m5,

And running like a dream

And with the best box for it, God bless the USA customer base who demanded bmw release a 6mt just for the US market after they said they won't be available in manual, the rest of the world didn't get them...

Oh yes there is an actual p500 power bottom on the dme which switches from 400 stock crank hp to 500, tucked in rather nicely on the m3 atmrest center console.

Derik,
Thats your vehicle type code and when updated in your vehicle order to the pm92 which is an m3 code, ncs will think you have an m3 and allow you to select modules which are specific to that type code, for example m3dsc who's coding options are difference to dsc.

Basically you were asking ncs to take coding data for a 335 dsc and placing it on an m3dsc. This method tricks ncs into thinking your actually an m3 and allows you access to read and write the m3dsc.

By the way in the list of modules, e.g. KOMBI, CAS etc, it's actually titled M3DSC
Not DSC as is your vehicle type.

Now, time for the exact same build....but with a DCT behind that 600hp V10 :smilingimp:

EDIT: Actually...that made me have a fairly evil thought. Remove my N54 for this v10...omg....

Dont you dare, lol, at least not until you have finished this ;)

We have done it, s85 dct on an m5, it's a beauty and a little tricky, very little actual wiring basically all dme. That was a few years ago and the customer demanded with virtually an open cheque. Another demand was to keep it hush hush, some people are that way inclined and we actually get that request allot, hence we market very little.

Will be about in 5 or 6 hrs to help you again if you need. Keep us posted.

I can understand that thought process. If I spent a lot of money to have a rare or unique conversion, last thing I'd want is everyone else having it done too :)

Great info on the VO change to net defaults on the DSC! For the record, PM92 is a Euro RHD LCI E90 M3. From old traces, I vaguely remember E90/E92 having different values in traces (or maybe it was E93, that was definitely different). Haven't looked to see if E90/E92 shared the same, but KG93 should be LCI E92 M3 (US).

Euro LHD E92 M3 is KG91
Euro RHD E92 M3 is KG92

Edit: fixed PM93 to PM92. PM93 is US LCI E90 M3.

mind.blown.
Can’t wait to get this all working gents. Oh and your all welcome to whatever help I’ve given but it’s clear who the brains and balls of this are. Once it’s sorted we will need to have documentation for others to follow and whilst we have the bones of something here it will end up being much much bigger. Above all it needs screen shots of each step. Until I’m doing mine though it’ll be hard for me to gather them so if youre doing any coding on this then please write down the steps and take screen shots as much as you can to help others.
@TireDeathRacing youre likely following along have you tried the DSC coding as set out above ?

It's not hard, it's just time. Did they sell a 1M in your area? The problem is MHD bases everything off of the latest ZUSB for your specific car which takes all of the region specific stuff into account. There is no good way to lookup the equivalent ZUSB for a different ROM version that I know of. It's a manual process and messes with the MHD auto-niceties like return to stock, flashing locked *.mhd tune files etc. Hence why I do it on a one-off basis currently.

Yeah we got the 1M here. I’ll Be in touch if and when the need arises thanks Jake

Is this the only module that this brilliant hack is needed for or would in be useful to also default code the GWS, KOMBI, CIC, etc. while the M3 vehicle code is in the VO? And on a side note, have you looked into activating the shift lights on a non M DCT at all?

Just to be clear, KG93 is a US LCI E92 M3 and KG91 is LHD EU E92 M3?
That should be correct, yes, but I encourage everyone to double-check before committing to flashing with them ;) I just see letters and numbers at this point lol

Let me clean up that list a bit so it's more legible. Added E93 info in case anyone has a vert.

E90 M3
PM91 = E90 LCI M3 LHD (EU)
PM92 = E90 LCI M3 RHD (EU)
PM93 = E90 LCI M3 (US)

E92 M3
KG91 = E92 LCI M3 LHD (EU)
KG92 = E92 LCI M3 RHD (EU)
KG93 = E92 LCI M3 (US)

E93 M3
DX91 = E93 LCI M3 LHD (EU)
DX92 = E93 LCI M3 RHD (EU)
DX93 = E93 LCI M3 (US)

335is
KG13 = E92 LCI 335is (US)
DX13 = E93 LCI 335is (US)
