Disabling Brake Energy Regeneration to improve spark energy

When the car accelerates, alternator is fully disengaged, the voltage is 13.2V; when braking, it rises to 14.8V. Turning on the methanol pump results in an even greater voltage drop.
Wouldn't it be better to have over 14V while accelerating, considering how weak the ignition coils are in these cars?
Has anyone managed to disable this option?

The DME will compensate for the voltage with a proportional dwell time increase. The alternator voltage output wll not effect the output voltage of the coil.

It's kind of a silly feature if you ask me, I'd like to turn it off too. I think it's a bit hard on batteries....

It's also causing additional strain on DME MOSFETs and reducing the flow rate of secondary fuel pumps, such as the Walbro 450.
