DCT NO Auto shift tune progress.

My car from a dig will skip 2nd gear because of this auto shift feature even on M mode. supposedly a little wheel spin will cause the dct to switch to the next gear because the wheel spin causes it to redline. Basically resulting me having no 2nd gear at the drag strip and skipping right to 3rd.

Is there anything we can do about this or time period on a DCT flash, this is really making this car not enjoyable and defiantly can't drive it to its full capability.

Wedge performance told me its happening to his Z4is in 3rd now with all the power he is pushing out. we really need this flash

Does the M3 flash have auto shift turned off and I can do the flash without the m3 parts?

I don’t know for sure but I do know that m3s don’t exhibit this behaviour with launch control enabled. Flashing the DSC is easy to try and you can flash back if it doesn’t work. How to flash thread here https://bmw.spoolstreet.com/threads/coding-m-modules-in-a-non-m-car.6190/

Yes I will flash the car and try it over the weekend and report back and see what happens, I already did the 135is flash for the 3500 launch control so I’ve done it before sounds like the same process

Failing that the full M3 GTS TCU flash will work but you’ll need M3 hardware KOMBi, SZL GWS buttons

Similar but not same. You’re not using comfort mode and the vehicle VO needs to be altered first. It’s fairly well mapped out in that thread

Not the DSC software no. But it’s unknown whether the DSC alone is causing this. It costs nothing but your time to try.

The M3 uses a different tcu flash, and different other hardware mentioned but if you change all of it I’m pretty sure it’ll fix it.

Is the thinking that the DSC module has a signal to the DME to force gear change?

Yes that’s my hypothesis. It’s likely wrong but fairly easy to test. If you’re launching for 0-400 or whatever, you may as well flash you have nothing to lose.
